We are a different side away we can be more compact .. Oxford are on a bad run after and excellent run come to an end .... expect it to be a very good draw
A scrappy 1 nil win against bottom of the table Wigan is not the turning point we hoped. 2-1 Oxford
Don’t think it was scrappy .. think we played very well and Wigan never really troubled us ( look at what Amos had to do ) .. if the ref had given us the pen think we would have relaxed and most likey won by a few more ..

Yes we are more compact away, we could be at home as well, which is why the home tactics continue to puzzle me.
if we can get another win with pratley out of the side, hopefully it will conviince bowyer to keep him out of the side - could be pivotal to our chances this season
We all know he will be first name on the team sheet come Tuesday
I remember the reverse of Tuesdays fixture early season. The Pratley haters were ecstatic (quite happy really) when he was on the bench and apoplectic (unhappy) when he came on at half time. Soon to be embarrassed when he scored. Not for the first time Pratley showed what a good player he is.

Scoring a goal does somehow seem to win the argument on whether a player is good or not.

Not sure how, though.
Scoring a goal doesn't necessary prove that he's a good player. Playing just two short of 500 league games, (100 for us) proves that over the years those in the game who know their 'stuff' obviously have in the past, rated him. Whether as he is now at the twilight of his career, Bowyer thinks he can still make a useful contribution to the side is arguable.

Another person making a point with an incorrect analogy. He didn't score

24th October v Northampton town, Pratley comes on for the second half and scores in the 54th minute and we win 2-0.
More negative comments than positive....again. Dont get this before a game. I thought the forum was for supporters not doomsters. The commentary looks like its on BBC Oxford. COYR's

Pratley didnt score in this reverse fixture?
24th October 2020 v Northampton town away, Pratley comes on for the second half and scores in the 54th minute and we win 2-0. Have I missed something or have you misunderstood the post?
I don't usually now include Charlton games in my score predictions, but I went for a 1-1 draw this week, and see no reason to change it
Neither team are playing that well - Oxford had a great run but have slightly gone off the boil from where they were a month ago - I expect a fairly dull match

Yeah I thought you were revering to the reverse fixture against Oxford, who we're playing today
Mentioning Northampton makes me now realise you're talking about our game this coming Tuesday

Sorry mate I should have made it clear I was talking about next Tuesdays game as this bit of the thread talked about Pratley being the first on Boyers teams sheet for the next game and as he is suspended for this one (Oxford) I thought he was referring to the Northampton game. Not sure how long his suspension is though.

Maartson poor passing and positioning Smith runs out of steam Shinnie not much cop when brought on and flatters to decieve Forwards isolated when we sit back
How Morgan and Purrington dont get in this squad beggars belief.
