  • Completely irrelevant to anything but just seem this picture on twitter and thought it was worth a share.

  • I thought the Angle segments were well done actually, they got all the shtick in, with all the hometown stuff and cheap pops, and they got him to engage with Gable which was perfect (and a shame they didn't get a couple of years working together more, with Angle as the leader of the Alpha Academy and having a passing of the torch moment)

World's Collide is looking to be a decent card

All Out has some great matches on it, but I don't get what they're doing with the Championship, why they let Punk and Mox fight on a Wednesday night, and the fact that Punk seemed to fuck his foot again so early in the match, surely they should have held off til the PPV?

With the AEW bit I wonder if they want Punk to either chase a heel champion or turn him heel.  If he isn't recovered enough to do a 10 minute match it makes perfect sense to drop it like that, although it makes the whole interim bit a bit pointless.

Either that or he is taking his toys home again.
  • I think they did it to pop a rating, the ratings were up 9.6%  on the previous week so a complete disaster with the injury IMO!

Sorry I think I have misunderstood, you think the "new" injury is legit?

I do. Would seem strange to do an injury angle on his first match back, then again it is a strange promotion.
  • If the new injury was real then wouldn’t it have been the main event, rather than the trios match?

My feeling is that it’s one of two things:

    1) It’s an injury that just hasn’t recovered in time and they had to get out of billing a main event for All Out that they can’t deliver on with a proper match

    2) He’s not injured at all and they’re plotting some story around this.

I’m leaning towards the second one. Makes Dynamite an interesting watch this week though.

It may not be conventional what they’re doing, but the intrigue is there.

It was live TV, at least it went on at the top of the second hour, which is probably the best place for it, from a ratings POV, there is no way that match was scheduled for longer.  AEW are slick enough to fill 15+ minutes on the fly.

    This just dropped

    Good timing 😜

  • Watching this week’s Dynamite…

WWE massively dropped the ball with Dean Ambrose / Jon Moxley.

Even Taz said his standing foot. It was meant to get twisted as he threw the kick hence why he fell down. Unsubscribe from that podcast pronto!

I can't stand Moxley. Pac is one they dropped the ball with IMO.
  • Clash at the Castle should be the weakest of the events this weekend, but it was pretty mega. Can't wait to see what All Out and Worlds Collide have in store for us

Clash at The Castle was OK - nothing more or less than that IMO. They did well to build a big-fight feel for the main event. Though the whole 'Drew has come home' thing felt a bit forced, what with it being in Wales rather than Scotland.

Like the idea of Imperium coming back together. Wouldn't mind seeing them as a 4-piece again if Alexander Wolfe is available. Incredible how much weight Gunter/Walter has lost....think I preferred him with a bit more bulk.

In the grand scheme of things I know its not that important, but one ask for WWE....

Please drop those childish, cringey graphics on the entrances. It just keeps that reminder there that WWE is basically a kid's show.

Possibly a work, but he's had a few rants recently. I'm starting to think he's just a bit of a twat

  • Not a work, and you're right about him being a twat. I think AEW need to get rid of him.
  • It’ll come to ahead at some point especially if the legal action is true - Will Khan lose Kenny & The Bucks purely for Punk, can’t see it myself.

I’ve always thought Punk had far too much to say for himself & he’s constantly gone ‘into business’ for himself, in RoH, WWE

    Just watching that press conference.

If that is a straight shoot from Punk……Jesus.

You have one of the biggest returns in years at the end of the show, a major title change,  and then it just gets overshadowed.
  • There was a fight as Punk left the stage. The funniest allegation is that Ace Steel (now sacked!) bit Kenny Omega! It's all come to head already, Khan has no control.

The ending of the show should have been a huge deal.
  • just watched it as well.... work work work work.....

and not even a good one.

I would pay good money to watch a shoot between Punk, Steel and the elite.

It was only last week Cornette said someone would eventually.

A work that will culminate in several acts suspended and the probable firing of your champion and biggest draw?

Cody being under contract at WWE is the clue.

Having the boys being EVP was a disaster waiting to happen. All very surprising as if Ted Turner had half the wrestling smarts as Tony Khan WCW would still be in business...
  • What do we think the whole MJF absence was about then?

There was the incident of him missing the public appearance, and apparently being unhappy about his contract.

3 months’ off of TV seems a little drastic for it to be a suspension, and doesn’t seem plausible for it to purely be for the sake of storytelling.

My guess is that maybe he needed time off to get surgery to take care of something.
