Obviously I can't speak for anyone else but I am going with someone that hasn't watched any AEW for about a year and only watch WWE sporadically. Another friend who is going doesn't watch AEW at all, but brought AEW merch before Dynamite was a thing because he wanted it to be good.
Why am I going? Not necessarily in order.
To see CM Punk and MJF, I would have said Bryan as well when I bought the tickets.
To go to a stadium show.

It's a "thing", unless your lucky enough to go to Mania you will probably never be in a wrestling crowd that big ever again.
It's in London so no hotel etc.
If it was in Birmingham, in the area, and the tickets were the same price my wife paid for the WWE house show in Manchester I 99% wouldn't have gone.
Would I buy that card on PPV, no I would either stream it or wait to watch the 4 matches I have any intrest in being ripped to Dailymotion.
TLDR: it's not really AEW that has drawn the house, it sort of is, but not because it is a great product. It isn't. Apart from collison 😉

A mate is coming down from Scotland for the same reason. There's a group of us who used to go to ICW's big event each year, fear and loathing and he's the only one coming down for it. We were all priced out of the WWE UK PPVs. I'm going because it's a big show nearby and cheap.My pre Fear and Loathing buzz isn't here for this event.
Feels pretty stupid to criticise Khan when he's sold 80k tickets, but claiming they're bigger than the WWE in the UK is insulting people's intelligence. Pretty sure WWE used to get better ratings than Super Sunday most weeks on Sky Sports. Claiming it's the biggest wrestling event for years is fair enough.

Sting has been my fave wrestler since I was 8 years old, so buzzing to see him in real life. Nearly saw him at a London Arena (remember that place?) WCW Monday Nitro in November 2000, couldn't get tickets though.
Selling out a Nitro in November 2000 shows the potential here. Shame no domestic promotion has capitalised on it since World of Sport. The UK actually invented pro wrestling, it descends from Catch Wrestling in Wigan.

Adam Page rode a horse during it and Moxley probably bled. They'll probably do it this week and we'll get the joy of watching it back on Sunday.

I thought they were anarchy in the arena because they were in a arena? You can't have stadium stampede in an arena, even by AEW standards that would make no sense.
It's a double filming tonight of Dynamite and Collison so I assume they aren't flying out until Friday morning, our time. So not sure when they can film it? If they were going to do that they could have done it from the States and saved the trans and the Lucha problem.
Anyway none of that matter because its a bunch of job guys using loads of furniture, the only positive is it keeps them all and Moxley in one match.

Found out the news last night and couldn't think about anything else. Terry was one of my favourites so I went straight online and watched Funk Vs Flair in the I Quit match. Still an incredible match 30+ years later.

We're eating at the O2 first then travelling across, everywhere usually gets mental around there unless you get there 3 or 4 hours beforehand. However if you get there early enough there's plenty of food places in London Designer Outlet
