CM Punk and Jungle Boy had a confirmed altercation back stage. Punk again!
Unless you're on EE the internet is slow at Wembley. So here's my view from the cheap seats.
Your missing the rest of the story out...
No-one knows the story though, do they? Perry wanted to do a spot a few weeks ago on real glass and Punk reckoned it was a way out of working a week, so said nah. Perry took it personally, despite the nah also coming from the higher ups, so when they did the limo spot yesterday he then said down the camera "it's real glass, cry me a river".
Punk apparently took umbrage with that and then half the reports say Punk went and hunted him down and threw punches and the other half say Perry shoulder barged Punk and that led to punches thrown and Punk trying to calm it down by putting Perry in a headlock. We'll see if anything comes of it

See even the first half of that is one half of various different versions that have been "reported".
There have been more "stories" about Jungle Jack than there have with Punk. He is friends with the bucks so thinks he is untouchable.
Anyone who has achieved the square root of sod all in the business, that thinks they don't need Billy Gunn's advice doesn't deserve any respect IMO.
I think one of the problems is, what is Punk? He's apparently got a lot of control over Collision, so is he the booker for it? A producer? Is he meant to be like an executive VP like The Bucks and Omega? Just the "locker room leader"? There's talk that certain members of AEW are banned from going to Collision tapings, because of Punk. So is Khan a complete walkover and he's allowing him to get away with anything, or is Kahn a complete walkover and letting The Elites mates get away with anything?

The truth is probably neither and both and it will continue to cause massive issues to the detriment of the product. As soon as he made the VPs VPs he had a problem.
There is "talk" of a lot of things but 90% of the time it comes from the same 10%.
I got so pissed yesterday. Will have to watch the show again on tv as I don't remember much of it.
Only problem with floor seats was having to climb a million steps every time I wanted a piss!!!
Great atmosphere though
Wrestling fans are strange. Bloke next to me nursed a pint from before the pre show to the end. Also had the new IC title with Adam Cole faceplates that he left on the stairs near him.
Anyone see the bloke dressed as the Fiend getting a standing reaction from the stand behind the goal?!
Not sure what the glass spot has to do with Punk? Real glass seems very stupid to me, likewise the cry me a river comment to the camera.
I wasn't aware of any issues with Jungle Boy before last night.
Because it was being filmed as part of Collision and apparently there's a rule in AEW that special spots involving weapons, risky bumps etc have to be cleared with management beforehand.
The claim is that Perry had a vacation booked for the week after that, and when Punk got wind of the plan about the glass spot, he decided it was Perry's way of ensuring he got the week off (surely if it was a planned vacation he had it off anyway?) And took it upon himself to tell Perry he can't do the spot, as he sees himself as the locker room leader on Collision.
Perry took that personally, and thought it was just Punk throwing his weight around because Perry is mates with The Elite, and they had to send Tony Schiavone to also tell him no he can't do the spot on the glass.
The fact it is real glass I guess is part bravado, part well Moxley and Kingston are using all manner of mental shit why can't we?

I don't believe this sort of thing happens in the WWE. Vince will say no real glass and that would be the end of it.
How good was the Samoa Joe wanker sign to C M Punk?!

The version I heard was that Perry told the agent he was doing it, the agent said no. He said he was doing it anyway. He asked someone in talent relations, they said no and hold them he was doing it anyway. Punk and Tony S was asked to explain to him why he shouldn't do it.
Jungle Jack phoned Melzter amd claimed Punk was at fault.

So the truth is probably something in the middle. Just like Brawl Out, both sides play the victim and paint the other side as the villians

I don't think Punk has ever claimed to be the victim?
Other than the "rocky 3' nonsense and accusing Melzter and Avlez of not reporting the truth?
You can't judge a company on the back of people telling tales to the trade press.
The ultimate problem is Tony Khan is a mark and wants to satisfy all his ECW/NJPW/WWE/indie outlaw mudshow bookings at the same time.
You can't be all things to all men, yet he has all the men on the roster. The PPV are brilliant, mainly. The TV isn't.

Weirdly how WWF was during the Monday night wars, although the TV shows were still decent, and sometimes great.
WCW was often the opposite, great TV episodes generally but awful PPVs (with the odd very good one).
There's very little difference between the TV and PPVs as AEW don't build up PPVs in a traditional way. Lots of PPV type matches occur on TV.
Don't get the WCW comment at all. Other than NWO Souled out '97, when the TV was good so were the PPVs. Only exception I can think of in the reverse was Spring Stampede '99 which was a great event when TV wasn't the best.

Oh there were plenty that didn't live up to the Nitro hype, Uncensored 96, Fall Brawl 98, 2 of the 3 World War 3 PPVs (98 was good), Starrcade 97, 98, all the Road Wilds (99 was ok), Halloween Havoc 98, Great American Bash 99, Superbrawl 2000, NWO Souled Out as you mentioned.
Often there would be one or two cruiserweight matches on those that would be by far the best of the night, but the main events with the usual suspects would be awful.
Agree with Spring Stampede 99, possibly the final great WCW PPV?
Something on Reddit today said that when Punk turned up at the airport there was nobody to meet him, so he had to make his own way to his hotel by public transport
A load of those PPVs had a great undercard with an awful main event, i wouldn't mark the whole card down as a result. The world war 3 matches were stupid. I actually thought '99 was the worst road wild, Jericho v Juvi at '98 is one of my favourite matches with an incredible finish. Uncensored '96 falls in the bad TV category!

I have seen zero photos of Punk on public transport and one of MJF in McDonalds at 2am.

Does the average Joe in the world know who CM Punk is?
The MJF thing is from the McDonald's right next to Wembley, after the show, so makes sense that someone would recognise him.
Reports reckon they'll come down harder on Perry in all of this for being the antagonist, he was sent away after the skirmish whilst CM Punk apparently volunteered to leave after his match.

No, but 80k wrestling fans were in London.
Was interesting seeing them on public transport with festival goers. Two completely different stenches.

He travelled in on the Saturday so not as many fans around at the same time I'd imagine. That's where the issue stems from too as he flew in later than everyone else, directly from Chicago

Jack Perry could be a dick, probably is.
These things happen. It’s just that in the wrestling business, which is built largely on hype and talk, that more gets made of it.
I’m sure similar things happen in many sports teams, travelling shows etc. Would be weird if it didn’t.
