I noticed we've placed Leo on the Charlton Board. Leo was one of the Freshfields partners that advised Thomas on his CAFC and CAFC Women takeovers, also specialises in co-investors.
I'd be interested to know the purpose as the two transfers of ownership have already been completed, with a wage-cap-less(?) transfer window ahead, is Thomas already moving to one side to allow a second investor to the table?
*apologies if a thread exists, I couldn't find one*
He's an associate not a partner. Associate is the lowest rung on the career ladder for a solicitor post-qualification. I don't know about Freshfield but usually 2 or 3 steps between that and partner.

What comes between associate and partner then?
At my firm you're either an associate or a partner - or counsel if you don't make partner. It is a US firm though so perhaps different.
Senior associate, junior partner, seen alsorts used in different firms

Varies but in magic circle firms, usually senior associate and then managing associate.
If it's okay with Admins I'll probably stay on seperate thread because that 1500+ pager gives me a headache!
I do find the timing interesting however, as he can't be part of any takeover at this point...
Could be on the acquisition case in terms of south London real estate.
Both options are exciting. Thomas has sunk plenty of money into us already and that's just to have a survival/rebuild year. I'd be interested to know what our budget is and that budget compared with the rest of the league.
Owning our assets is also a real show of long-term vision but one that isn't so pressing given the 15 year lease in place.
I was thinking of land on the Peninsula.
*ducks
Last spare patch of land on the peninsula. Surveyors were in today. Ground works start next week. Gonna have an excellent view of the pitch from my balcony!

No need for spectators, what do you think Valley Pass is for ?

Canters' lounge?
New capacity for home matches: 3 seated plus 5 standing (2 restricted view).
So we have a LEO on board. Cool. Will he be a genius like the great renaissance artist Leo, da Vinci?
OOps, I meant this Leo da Vinci
Good for recruitment in the Italian league, but if we want to follow in our respectable tradition of excellent Irish footballers we might have to call on this Leo
But if our Leo is more the musical type will he be like this:
I don’t think there is any chance that Thomas will buy the ground. He is not that wealthy. It would be a pointless transaction - only dead money, unless Roland in his dotage or his family decide to sell at a big discount

Also the Shenanigans thread is Members Only, and this news doesn't really need to be discussed privately as it's unlikely to get controversial, so it's probably better done here.

(Vegan wedding, cool)
Or will our guy be like this great musical Leo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CezRRt78EYQ
Maybe given his educational background our Leo might be like this intellectual and literary colossus
However given Mr Sandgaards interest our Leo might be like this coolest of all Leo's:

Their personality.
Now on the OS
Non-exec as suspected
