Filbert Street was a proper ground.
It was.....but became a fairly shit experience when we had to sit in those very cramped, low level seats, along the side. The front row was like sitting in a trench, with just your head poking above the parapet.
Remember winning up there 2-1 start of 82-83 season.....one of only 2 away wins that season the other was at Leeds....went to both on the train.

Did the late great Phil Walker get em both that day ?

Not sure....Carl Harris scored at Leeds that I do recall.

It was a bit lively on the way back to the station for those of us that went through the park rather than join those being escorted back by the police.

Heard about that, I must have been in the police escort as I can't remember any grief from Leicester that day.

Just looked that 1995 match up. Emile heskey came on as a sub for Mark Robins.

Also just discovered that leicester are one of the very , very few clubs that we have a favourable H2H record against (25 wins 19 losses).

I used to work with a Leicester fan a few years back who said to me, "You always know when it's going to go off at a Leicester match because the lads from Coalville turn up and then ....bang"
