Now that was excellent from Gilbey. More of that

Amos needs to be more commanding in his area and take the doubt away from defenders decisions.

DJ concedes a free kick midway in their half, but we're back on the attack with Gilbey
  • Finally some great play from Gilbey

Notice how they press Pearce more than Innis
Yeah, they don't want to get trodden on.

Would you want to press Innis?

He'd whack you into next week. Pearce would just hold on for a cuddle.

Gilbey crosses back to Maatesen who wins us a corner.

Great ball to Maatsen from Gilbey, unlucky Maatsen couldn't do anything with it.

    JFC IS having a shocker....

Their player proper milking a slight touch.

Matthews is so poor at times
I agree. Thats twice now he has passed it inside rather than just clearing it. It will cost us a goal today I fear.

We look slightly more assured at the back with Innis. Pearce worries me. Hoofs the ball aimlessly and I’m thinking there’s a mistake coming at some point
  • If you take Maatsen out of the equation then we’re actually very poor all over.

JFC with some of the worst end product you’ll ever see this game. Like he’s got lead in his boots.

Corner cleared , but it comes back to JFC, whose cross is a bit pants, and Pearce concedes a free kick near the centre circle.
  • You never back heal balls in your own penalty area

The other aspect of Maatsen playing there is that he is aware of what he needs to do to help Matthews out defensively which hasn't always been the case with some of our wide players

Scores so far in my mind:

    Maatsen 8
    Jaiyesimi 7
    JFC 5
    Gilbey 5

everyone else around 6's (Matthews was a 7 before the dangerous backheel)

It wouldn’t be as irritating all these long balls to Stockley if they actually went anywhere near him!

Good pressure from Maatsen on the Doncaster no 9, and we get a free kick, but the ball gets pumped forward straight to their keeper.

Bogle tries to buy a foul backing into Pearce.

You can tell what Bogle thinks about our back line.

Presses Pearce and Amos like his life depends on it

Was waiting for Inniss to lash it in from 30 yards there.
