  • Coppinger plays it in to our area from the left, but Inniss hoofs clear and it's half time.
  • Decent 1st half that
Yup, we just about deserve the lead
  • I think to be fair Gilbey has done well defensively, shinnie is a bit of a liability as far as that is concerned
  • Good half I think. We're creating more, and looking a threat going forward. Defence looks comfortable, and Inniss very slick on the ball.

Gilbey is still toilet, been sold a pup there.
  • Happy with that half, the only player of theirs to produce a strike of any real quality was Bogle... If that's their best, we should be okay.

Gilbey and JFC vying to be replaced by Shinnie.
  • Gotta be pleased with that first half.
  • How did Gilbey get into this side with Shinnie and Morgan fit?

  • gilbey had that one good cross to maatsen.
  • Not a bad half. We can definitely get at Doncaster and score more. Always the worry that we can also concede easily. DJ and Maatsen both been impressive and good outlets so far
  • Havent been too bad this half, bit of a typical away performance where we get ourselves organised as a team and expect the opposition to have more of the ball - Think a team with pace could be hurting us a bit more this afternoon but as LAddick says, Doncaster have just been too slow in building their attacks.

Feels like we could continue to soak up their pressure and then get a second to seal it midway through the second half.

Dont know if I'd make changes at half-time but Gilbey is unfortunately the key personnel for being replaced at the moment.
  • Funny half that, don’t find it easy to assess.

id like JFC, Gilbey and Jaiyesimi much more in the game than they are

Gilbey and JFC at risk of dropping to 4's.
JFC is at least doing a decent job winning the ball back
    This is true.
  • A good half, that. Haven’t given them too much and if Gilbey was more alert, we’d be two goals to the good. All to play for in the second half .... C’MON YOU REDS

Yeah I mean we scored and they didn't so we definitely deserve it.
  • I think that was the perfect away performance - more of the same 2nd half please - good at the back - hitting them on the break - Maatsen brilliant

  • DJ best player on the pitch that half. Needs to keep himself onside though!
  • Doing ok, and nicely taken goal by Maatsen. Defence mostly solid bar Matthew's Cruyff turn into trouble. Inniss looking good. Gilbey fairly anonymous except when he fluffed his chance. Shinnie may fit that role better? Chunks on for the last twenty and hopefully not many other changes needed, as the bench doesn't offer many attacking options...
  • Half time, happy with that. Lots of positives.

Stop the season now. Lincoln in the play off semi and Sunderland at Wembley!
Oh it couldn't happen again. Surely? 😁

I like this shape, when we do get forward we've got numbers in the box.

Pratley looks much better in a role where he's only making simple passes.

Still carrying a few total letdowns in JFC, Matthews and Gilbey (who did have one or two good moments at least).

Maatsen actually looks pretty decent on the wing!

Considering this is the first time we've played 4-2-3-1, it's not bad at all.

They look like they could be susceptible on the break but we've made bad choices so far. Aneke would be better second half.
  • Interesting half. I like us playing with proper width but we’re not using it enough. Inniss looks very assured and confident at the back. Pratley is having a proper Pratley game sweeping up and he suits that midfield three. You can see why Gilbey was picked as he can create stuff few others in the team can but it’s so fleeting. He also either has no idea where to stand on the pitch or he knows exactly where to be and is avoiding it because he doesn’t like football. JFC is having an absolute pig. Maatsen is unplayable and Stockley has his defenders on toast but we can’t seem to actually get the ball to him. Play it into his feet and he’ll get the wingers involved and we can finish these off before Bogle’s inevitable goal
  • More confident with Inniss in back line. Was willing him to run on and shoot when he made that break out of defence.

Get DJ 1 on 1 and he’s very dangerous.

    Same with Maatsen.

Got to be the game plan for the rest of the season, especially with Stockley in the middle.
    Aneke for me.

Depending on how long Washington is out for that is. I always prefer a front 2 over either a 3 or 1.
  • Maatsen and DJ playing well, good to see Innis back, went on a good forward run and passed well into the danger area.
Still not a big fan of Gilbey, would much rather see Shinnie on for him.
Not a bad performance though but not hugely exciting either, but keep going.
  • I suppose the way to look at it is that had we been at home and played like Doncaster we would have been far less pleased than the way we've played let alone bing in front
  • Half time, happy with that. Lots of positives.

It's happened every time it could have in the last 25 years.....
