Someone explain ….. Are we still a complete waste of money that no sane person would get involved with . it’s all gonna end in tears no matter how good the intentions are

We'll lose money in league 1 and we'll lose money, but less, in the Championship.
TS will lose money until we get into the premier league unless we find a Jude Bellingham to sell
That's not really changed.
We are paying large rental payments on the Valley and Sparrows Lane which we weren't before. That's not good IMHO
But it does put into perspective the greed of Southall and Amis, the mismanagement of Roland (what chance to Bowyer and Gallen have when our wage bill was a third of the average in the championship. Amazing that we took it to the last few minutes.)
This was money he spent, and largely wasted, on Charlton which he put in as a loan so the interest was, effectively, to himself so he's not done anything good or praiseworthy here. He hadn't claimed the interest in previous years either.
Will await further, more expert analysis from the many bean counters on here as well as Airman's views.
I'll have a proper look through later at the detail. But you need to remember that these are an historical document that's main use is to pin point what Southall and his crew took out. They don't really have much other use.
The 4 million plus in player sales is that Dijksteel and a sell on for Konsa or Lookman?

Did we get something for Grant ?
Grant went to westbrom in October 2020 so would be in the 20/21 accounts. Only a year to find out how much :-)

But he left us in Jan 19 so was that sale in the 18/19 or 19/20 accounts?

18/19. The accounts basically follow the seasons. They are July to June.
You sometimes get a transfer in the "wrong" accounts if they are done very early.
In a way we already knew most of this. However it is a big reminder how frightening it was (although we didn't know at the time). To me it highlights how ineffective the EFL is. Approving and monitoring a rigorous financial plan from any buyer is absolutely essential. Any new regulator must have this in it's remit!

It's going to be useful in tightening some of the info available on figures regarding the cars, the consultancy payments and credit card expenditures.

I don’t really agree with that because we now know that Duchatelet stands to benefit if Charlton reach the PL before 2030, which I think is news. Plus, for example, the transfer income for the whole of 20/21 because of the late sign-off (£5.6m), against £1.4M in outgoings (Including agents and terminations).
it’s also interesting that Thomas Sandgaard’s interest-free loan of £10.5m is (notionally) repayable in 2025. I’d say that is unlikely to happen unless we reach the PL by then or he sells part or all of the club. Not saying it’s a threat to the club, just a fact. He can obviously roll it over.

Is that still valid though? The commentary seems to suggest it isn't. I admit I haven't studied the small print yet.
