  • Manchester United went 29 League away games without losing until Leicester 4-2 defeat.  A record for the Premier League.  OGS has been the manager in all these games.

What had happened over the last few weeks that Maguire and Shaw play so poorly ?

Having said that Liverpool played in top gear for 66 minutes and 3rd gear for the last 34 minutes and were brilliant in their simplicity of pass and move.

I hope Naby Keita is ok after the over the top tackle.

How many were draws?  How was their home form?

  • Always find images like this fascinating.

Imagine living in a house literally next door to a stadium like Old Trafford.
  • Imagine supporting a club that has just signed Ronaldo, Sancho and already out of the running for the league title !
  • And although very admirable Rashford needs to decide if he wants to be a political ambassador or a footballer the bloke is stealing a living

And the Old Trafford cricket ground is barely 5 minutes the other way!

People pissing in your front garden every other weekend.
  • Ramsdale with save of the season. That was incredible.

That angle from the far end they showed after. Incredible
  • You know what, fair play.

    Well played...

    Great finish from Ronaldo.
  • What a finish from Ronaldo. Love or hate him, no one can doubt what a truly special player he is.
  • Never really liked Ronaldo but blow me, he's some player!

New 5 year contract for Ole, please. Put it on the table at half time and get him to sign it.

Was good how Neville was talking about his movement.

I didnt see the goal live as was busy shoving food into my gob - But watching the replay made you realise how simple he made it look by just drifting away from Ben Davies to create the space for the goal.

Reminded me of Curbs' instructions to Keith Jones when we played Everton, and got him to man mark Gazza so well, that he even kept him company when the latter went to the bench to get some information.
  • He’s just had a goal chalked off for offside but was another spectacular finish.
  • Excellent assist from Ronaldo
  • TOT 0 MU 2

  • Naturally Ronaldo is finding his form again after i took him out of my fantasy league team.
Me too, but it’s too much to have one player taking up 1/4 of your budget - means your basically dependent on him having a good game every weekend. That’s what I’m telling myself despite giving up about 20 points this weekend by cutting him!
  • Don't feel too sorry for me though, thankfully i've got Reece James.

  • Love watching MU and TOT alternate looking awful one match to the next. Can’t wait to see which manager gets sacked first. Hopefully both by Christmas.
  • Saw something online earlier about whether Chelsea's academy is now the best in the world?

They have Mount and James playing regularly, as well as Hudson-Odoi, Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah around the team/squad.
At Southampton, there is Livramento and Broja. Lamptey at Brighton, obviously Gallagher we all know plus Guehi at Palace. Billy Gilmour at Norwich.
Tammy Abraham at Roma. Tomori at AC Milan.

They are regularly turning out players who go onto play at the top level.

No, no. Keep them both in post and we can have hours of more fun listening to their entitled fans moaning after they lose

I'm not a Spurs fan but I said at the time their dismissal of Poch must go down as one of the worst footballing decisions in living memory. I normally like to try and be balanced and see things from both sides however I genuinely will never understand how people at the club felt it was a good idea. They just look like a shadow of the team they were under him ever since he left.

I really liked Nuno at Wolves however his appointment at Spurs looked doomed from the start. Levy is often branded as an astute operator however their managerial search at the start of the season was an embarrassment, Nuno was under instant pressure due to it being public knowledge that he was about 7th choice. Even Gattuso was linked to the job before him who has achieved literally zero in his managerial career up to now despite numerous appointments.

Spurs simply don't have the players to play in Nuno's preferred style and I don't think Spurs fans wanted it either, especially coming off the end of the Mourinho spell. That is no disrespect to Nuno as I think he did a great job at Wolves and reckon he'd do a decent job at another club, but it seemed so obvious that he wasn't a good fit at Spurs and yet they went and appointed him anyway.
  • Got to laugh, Spurs after all the shouts of terrible start, Nuno is out of his depth, Kane isn't interested etc, are up to 5th and above Man U.

    8th now
After a start of nine points from three 1-0 wins, they've taken six points from their last seven games
Not a single shot on target today, the first time that's happened at home for them since 2013
Only Leeds and Norwich, who are in the relegation zone, have scored less than their PL total of nine this season
Kane has just one PL goal to his name this season

Spurs now have a run of games that they should pick up a decent number of points - against Everton, Leeds, Burnley, Brentford and Norwich. "Should" as I say. If they don't I think it's safe to say Nuno will be gone,
  • Obviously it's coloured by Palace winning today, but this is promising to be a great PL season. 3 top teams, but plenty others that can give them a game. And so many other subplots too, such as Arteta's Arsenal climbing up the table, after he was ridiculed at the start of the season. And the moneybags Newcastle facing a serious relegation battle.

It was a bit of a mess the whole way through. They had 6-7 months to sort out a new manager after Poch left and they put Mason in charge but even when the season ended they were no nearer to finding a manager and didn't hire Nuno until the very end of June.

He was only given a 2 year deal, apparently with a clause that he can be sacked after 1 year if they don't get top 6, so that just shows you how unsure they were.

Also Nuno was apparently quite close to getting the Palace job, until talks broke down over money. There's no way Spurs should be in the hunt for a manager who is also interesting Palace.

I wonder if they'll end up going back for Fonseca who they should've got in the first place.
  • As good as that save was by Ramsdale yesterday it wasn’t his best moment.
That came later when the Leicester fans were shouting “ooohhhh, youre shit arghhhh” at the goal kicks and he joined in on the arghhhh  :D
