Worth noting that grealish came on and gave the perfect example of why he's not playing much for City.
Had a wide open player on the left to thread the ball into, chose to run straight into a Liverpool player instead and lost the ball.
Went from a cult hero last year to a bit of a forgotten man this season.
Yeah that was frustrating. I do think he will improve tho, Pep took a while to get Sterling going and Bernardo Silva wasn’t great first year. He gets it out of them eventually.
The trouble is that neither of these teams dont have the option of Stockley upfront to hit it long so they have to play it out from the back 😂😂😂
Lol!
But joking aside, on three or four occasions when Man City had the ball at the back in the second half Liverpool had six players pressing four Man City players. Surely a ball over the top means it's instantly six against four the other way?
I know these teams love to play out from the back, but if they just mixed it up occasionally I'm sure it would get some reward.

Mahrez too, went from being the star at Leicester to a bit part player for the first year or so at City. Much more involved and important after time to adapt.

Think Grealish might end up at Newcastle once they start to motor in the next couple of years
Son and Kane at it again today. Great to watch when it clicks.
Good news for us I think. Villa must be wanting to tighten up their defense. Stevie G just might be able to get a deal done for Gomez
Is Gomes right footed? Did he play with Van Dyke on his left? Honestly can't remember as its been so long since I last saw him play. I saw Spurs were linked with him over the weekend but I can't see him playing on the right of a three, as thats where Romero plays.

Its not all about Sonny and Kane, as good as they are of course. Kulusevki (christ, how many times can I mis-spell his name in a season?) and Bentancur have been nothing short of brilliant for us since Paratici brought them in for Conte. For an agreed £25m for Kulu and only £13m for Bentancur, we've robbed Juventus.
Feel really sorry for Matt Doherty this morning after it was confirmed he's picked up a serious knee injury in the 1st half on Sat.
A lot of impressive performances from Liverpool tonight but i think we've seen in the last few weeks why Gomez is out of favour at Liverpool. Matip has been impressive all season but now Konate (who is 2 years younger than Gomez) is getting a run of games he's finally getting the chance to show why Liverpool chased him for a year, the guy is a beast.
Looks as though City have won the race to sign Haaland, and they've also announced that Julian Alvarez (the current south american player of the year) will join them in the summer from River Plate. He was originally going to join after the Argentinian season finished in October but City have paid 1.5m extra to get him sooner. Two incredible attacking talents, aged 21 & 22. No wonder there are new rumours that Guardiola might extend his contract.
I'd expect this means one or both of Sterling and Jesus moves on.

I think I'll give Pep a ring .....

Slightly puzzled that there are 3 Saturday 3pm games today, yet it's ok to have the FA Cup semi final on TV at the same time
22 appearances for Liverpool and he's never lost.
Wonder if it'll be a move that'll be turned permanent in the summer - He's under contract @ Leipzig until 2024
Over the last 15 games they're 6th, ahead of Man U, same points at Spurs and only 2 less than Chelsea.
Over the last 10 games, they're 5th, just 2 points less than Man City.
Howe has done an incredible job there.

Jones should play more if only for the fact that he is such a "lucky" charm. All of his Premier League matches in the last three years:
Wolves (H) Lost 1-0
Burnley (H) Lost 2-0
Sheffield United (A) Drew 3-3
Cardiff (H) Lost 2-0
Huddersfield (A) Drew 1-1
Everton (A) Lost 4-0
