Klopp has turned Liverpool into the best team in the world.....annoyingly.
As for Utd, I've said it many times, but I just feel sad looking at what they've become. I was never a Utd fan, but admired how good they were. They dominated when I was growing up.
Ferguson must watch on in disbelief at what they've become
What goes up, must come down.
They all need to accept that. The glory years and been and gone. They should stop reflecting on the past and stop comparing.
The constant moaning from ex United legends isn't ever really going to stop.
The players have obviously lost self belief and most of them probably now want a fresh start somewhere else.
United had something special, but it's gone now.
Liverpool had something special in the 80s. That left them and it appears to have now returned.
The extreme very high expectations that surround man united are counter productive.
They should stop spending loads of money out of desperation. Perhaps use the new fresh level of shitness to develop an underdog mentality.
Chuck the lazy egos aside, ignore the press, ignore the pressure, and get to work.

More to the point, but does what comes down go back up again? Asking for a friend
It's not just United who are harking back to glory days
Once Blackburn faded, for a long period at the start of the PL era Arsenal were the other dominant team in English football. Between 95/96 and 03/04, only MU and Arsenal won the Premier League (MU 6 times, Arsenal 3).
03/04 was the last time they won the PL, so approaching 20 years ago.

But with the size and stature of the club, as well as their financial power they can definitely get back there.
there was a crazy season when they were quite away from relegation and a crazy sequence of results lead to them going down . Not as crazy as this and I’m too lazy to look up (please one of you youngsters) but I think palace lost their last 4 and Sheff utd or Oldham won their last 4 to get em relegated on the last day , early 90s I reckon but my dementia could be recalling this completely wrong

Think we was away to Birmingham that day ,we lost 1 -0. I think if brum had lost they would of been relegated. I'm sure the premier league that season they went down on 48 points
Last to go down were Crystal Palace, who failed to win their final game of the season which would have instead consigned Oldham Athletic to the final relegation place - Oldham's survival was secured with a thrilling 4–3 win over Southampton.[13]
Palace's next 5 games are all against sides in the bottom 8, then they play a terrible Man U side at home on the last day. There's not a chance they'll be anywhere near relegation. With that run in, they're probably more likely to finish top half than bottom 3.
Palace won't be going anywhere and they are an established premier League side. If they had a bad season and got relegated, then they'd likely go straight back up again.
So, on PPG Palace would be 15th. They got a new investor in the summer who lobbed £100m at them which they spent.
Sounds pretty shit to me yet everyone in the press are convinced Viera is a superstar.
Was making me laugh last sunday. With the fixtures left they should make 10th. Commentators last Sunday saying what a good season theyve had. Me thinking played 1 decent team in the fa cup and lost, and if they lose to Newcastle on the Wednesday they're 14th.
If you're a big club, you hope Arsenal miss out on top 4.
Then you spend the entire summer offering Saka the world to come to you. The kid is going to be one of the best players in the world. Might already be one.

He won't be going to Man U!
Indeed how attractive will Man U be with no CL football to offer, a messy squad and an unproven in England manager?

Could actually work in their favour, if they do their scouting properly and go after potential (who'll listen to Tsn Hag) rather than big names already doing well elsewhere and who cost a bomb.
If the season went on until June instead of May, Newcastle might have ended up in Europe. Yet another win today and up to 9th, only 9 points behind West ham.
What will happen to the european places if City/Liverpool win UCL, West Ham win Europa and Leicester win the conference? Could you end up with the team in 8th in Europe ie if Newcastle make up another place?

I guess managerial sackings are never Black or White...
sorry that’s bad.

Palace-chute payments of hell

I hadn't realised, that despite all the positive vibes around Vieira, they actually have few points than under Hodgson last season
