Highest net spends in world football in the past 10 years. Pretty damning for Man U given their current issues but look at Everton!
Liverpool are 14th on 327m, which shows just what an incredible job Klopp has done.

Arsenal’s pretty shocking too!
Actually surprised Man City & PSG don’t have higher net spends. They always seem to be spending huge sums and I can’t think of many players they’ve sold got big money to offset.
City very rarely sell for big money, i guess because their top players don't usually want to leave. Their top players generally stay there for years. Only 2 who have wanted out in recent times (Sane and Torres) are their 2 record sales.
A measure of how rarely City sell a top player is the fact their 4th highest ever sale is Shaun Wright-Phillips to Chelsea.......17 years ago.

The vast majority of Everton's net spend has occurred in the six years since Martinez left - in his three years there the net spend was something like £37m in total. So they sacked him, gave hundreds of millions to his successors and are now staring relegation squarely in the face.
Conor’s been taking lessons at the Zaha school of diving. Twice in this game he’s gone down softly. first one he rolled around exactly like that prick would do then when he didn’t get the free kick just jumped up and started chasing the ball.

Make that three times, third one was the worst of the lot.

Just did it again in the last couple of minutes of injury time. Come on Conor...

It was like he was playing in his slippers second half. Couldn't stay on his feet 😳

Wish media would do more to pick up on it when it’s English players. Literally 24hours earlier it seemed like the entire world came to a stand still to slate Richarlison.
The 3rd dive was almost identical to Charlie Adam’s at the weekend and he got internationally mocked for it.
Man united under Ollie gunnar Solskjaer didn't lose an away League game for 18 months and finished in the Champions League. Has it been an improvement since he left ?

Obviously not.
Dont forget 5 points above Liverpool and 7 above Chelsea
I don’t think OGS was the ultimate answer but nowhere near as bad as he was portrayed
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel insists he will "fall in love" with whatever squad he has next season.
There remains uncertainty at Stamford Bridge amid the ongoing sale of the club and players are poised to depart. Defenders Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are set to leave in the summer with other outgoings possible.
Asked if he will have a team to compete next season, Tuchel said: "Yes, it's my job - no matter how the situation will be solved and when it will be solved."
He added: "We will dig in and we will try to squeeze out everything of the squad that we have. And hopefully, and I know myself, I will again fall in love with a squad that I have and try to push the squad to the limit."
Poor guy. Got a squad worth about 800m, about 20 players out on loan and one of the best academies in world football. How on earth will they get by?
Klopp taking a big risk for arguably their toughest remaining game today.
Fabinho, Thiago, TAA and Salah all on the bench.
Midfield in particular- Milner, Henderson and Keita doesn’t scream a generational great team. Which perhaps emphasises how Henderson and Milner in particular are so underrated.

Especially with the form they're in
Gerrard may just win Liverpool the league after all!
