Thinking about letting the train take the strain to this one but probably staying overnight & returning home on the Sunday.
Just a thought...Is there any chance this one might be an early kick off /changed to the Sunday for Sky & if unknown at this time, any idea how soon we might know ?
That weekend Sky have Friday 8pm Arsenal vs Aston Villa Saturday 5:30pm Brighton vs Man City Sunday 2pm West Ham vs Tottenham Sunday 4pm Man Utd vs Liverpool
I imagine their EFL game will be Saturday 12:30 on the 23rd October, as that's when BT have their game

They've gone for the Colin Warnock against his former club match instead!
Worth staying in the Hilton next to the ground and you literally park in the ground. Although last time Lyle’s first game took 7.5 hours to get there!!

https://book.splittraintickets.net seems to offer a flexible ticket for around £51.00 and an advance on specific trains for under £30.00.
To explain:
The regulator fixes "standard" fares between any two stations on the whole network.
Train companies often offer cheaper tickets between specific stations on their own patch.
So for many journeys, it can be better to buy two or more tickets so that you can make use of those cheaper fares which apply only to part of the journey.
Most web sites and ticket offices at stations offer the standard fare or a cheaper fare which specifically applies to the whole journey but are unable to search through all the combinations along all possible routes to the destination.
The whole system is ridiculous but nobody (including the prime minister) seems to have the power to change it.
Might tick the larkfield to Sunderland on the coach off the bucket list for this one. Only thing is it would require the wife dropping me off in larkfield at 3am.
Where’s the thread for morecambe away, I don’t need info I’ve already booked it up but I just wanna see if there’s anyone as mad as me booking two days off work for a midweek 1-1 in no mans land.

5 of us already booked up for Morecombe and three of us heading up to Scotland on the Wednesday to tick a few grounds off up there. Can't wait.

Getting them ticks in, I feel like Morecambe could be a one season thing so it had to be done. Getting up there about 3ish then heading back first thing next day by train, London to Lancaster is 2hrs 40 mins 💨

We'll have about 700 for this.
A lot of the old die hards will want to do this for the tick of a new ground with Charlton.
I'm in, Lancaster is a tidy place to stay. Morecambe in late November is not too appealing.

Morecambe any time of year with you there is unappealing.
almost a 'home game' for me .. 300 mile round trip .. drive up, few days in the Travelodge and a mooch around the N East coast before winter REALLY sets in .. looking forward to both the game and the away days

I would say worth every penny, but to get out of there to spend a day in another dump. Save your money.
She'll be pleased to get rid of you.
