Ged Roddy describes analytics as the first step. Then we scout players- in person nationally or using video internationally. Ged and Steve talk. If they identify a target, they look at their social profile and check background. If green, they move forward with manager and owner.
Gallen did use Lavelle as an example though where scouting him showed that he's a "winner"

Something that the analytics cant do
The analytics did identify him in the first place though, no?

Scouting those players as well could then potentially show the faults of relying solely on the other side, no?
Both Arter and Lee can be recalled in January but thats no surprise
I wonder if it's similar to Famewo last year when no one realised we had to renegotiate that loan in January
Either that or just like Jed Steer - Remember Bowyer saying in the past that the majority of loan deals seem to have the January recall clause these days
Amazed at the openness with which both SG and GR answered the questions.
Also, SG and GR appear to be working very closely together and, on the face of it, get on very well personally.
Worth pointing out something that Gallen said at the start.
Roddy has come in, we've hired more scouts as before that happened it was just Steve on his own, and for him we kept saying that he looked tired and shouldnt have to endure the workload each transfer window... But even Steve stressed how exhausting it was, and was a strain on his mental health even
That was very good. Very well run and some good answers from Steve and Ged which made me feel a bit more positive about things than I did beforehand.
We'll have to see how things play out over the next few months but on first viewing Roddy didn't seem like the devil he's been made out to be. Him and Gallen seem like they genuinely work well together.

I’m pretty sure in Kirks signing video he hadn’t spoken to him yet but maybe I’ve got that wrong
Have there been any players than SG, GR, and NA have all wanted but TS has said "no" to?
I thought maybe Pompey. They brought the likes of Morrell and Ogilvie late on.
Seems that they did have offers for him in the summer, and Gallen still really hope that it works out for him
