Fails the Charlton Life height test but besides that has performed magnificently whatever happens in the quarter finals.
Absolutely! He can't do anything about his height, but possibly that may have contributed to his overall resiliance; made him work harder and more determined about what he can do? You know the old adage of what you can vs what you can't control

Ironically it might have been Fery who'd not have got one!

Very Wimbledon problem, people popping champagne corks during play.

Fery 2 sets up. Playing out of his skin, absolutely no sign of him tightening up.

Wow - had assumed today would be one match too far. It's not done yet but he's 2/3rd of the way there.

This Wimbledon for Fery reminds me of when Radacanu won in America.
Im not saying he's going to win Wimbledon but Fery here and Radacanu in America have a lot of similarities.

In a way but he got a very well-deserved wild card and didn't come through qualifying (without dropping a set - but earlier to not drop a set when you play best of 3 not best of 5 of course).

I don't think he will have the same challenges as her though. He's older and extremely together mentally. He also won't have to ramp up as quickly as she did from only playing a few hours a week from being a school girl, starting off her injury issues.

His trajectory this week has been amazing. He is very intelligent, in general, as well as a tennis player and went to Stanford as wanted to concentrate on both his education and tennis. He's only really just started concentrating on his tennis (and not his studies), else he probably would have been ranked higher before now

What would his ranking be? Should he win, I was going to look that up straightaway

Fery up a triple break in the 3rd set. Serving for the match.

    Zverev.

Tough but less so than Djokovic or Sinner I guess.

That was sensational,he has just demolished the world no 10,without batting an eyelid.Xerev,a big ask,but who knows ,he chases everything and s Xerev sometimes gets a bit touchy when it goes against him.

Quite incredible his progress during the grass court season. Has certainly made the most of his wildcards.

British No 1 ahead of Norrie.

Interesting to see how the rest of the season pans out. A big step up from the Challenger tour but he certainly seems to have mental toughness.

    An amazing tournament for him.

To be clear even before Wimbledon Fery(124) only had Norrie(29)and Choinski(100) ranked higher.
Fery was ahead of Samuels, Pinnington-Jones and Fearnley so he was always going to get a wildcard before them.
Sad about Draper who can't overcome 15 months of constant injuries.

I'm still in shock having watched every ball of Arthur Fery's last 3 matches and highlights of the 1st two and it's the first time I have watched a British male player with such a strong mentality; Murray would scream at his box or himself on his journey. Even going back to Roger Taylor he squandered a semi final when there was a boycott of the top players.

I didn't think it was possible for a 5ft 9in male player to go this far in a slam but Fery has, and now the 6ft.6in  French open champion is standing tall with Sascha Zverev who took advantage of no Alvarez and Sinner being beaten to get his 1st slam in Paris when beating Cobolli ironically enough.

I will be amazed if the newly confident Zverev doesn't win in straight sets but if Zverev has an off day with his big serve then maybe David can slay Goliath 🤞🏻

Fantastic achievement and a joy to watch the magician at work.

Can't see Fery beating Zverev on grass but we can only hope. Zverev should be able to overpower Fery but Fery's superb fitness and defensive talents should put him in with a shout.

Fery's attitude is one of his main strengths - doesn't seem to get fazed by the attention he is getting. Very level headed and grounded.

Grass may prove to be his best surface but time will tell.
