  • Looks older than 92

I’m confused too. Is it meant to read 1985?

21st September 1985 V Stoke City, Lee scoring last goal, was there somewhere
  • Definitely 1985....

I would normally have been there, but ended up in the Jimmy Seed. In the previous games that season, you could swing a cat on that terrace (albeit a small cat)..
  • Bloke on the fence in glasses, just above the L in local looks familier.
  • Clearly says 1985

Kenny Everett in the middle just behind the person with a bucket on their head . Jiminy Cricket is on the top right who’s next to Johnny Robinson.

That’s not a bucket, it’s a funeral directors hat that my cousin made for the day.

Yep, I'm there. Far right hand side, half way up, half turned, smiling and wearing a short sleeve shirt and a sleeveless jumper, which was known back then as a tank top. I would have been 31 years old. God, doesn't time fly!
On that day, most of the Covered End had de-camped to the terrace between the Old Stand and the Covered End. It was always going to end in a pitch invasion, hence why the terrace was packed and why the police were there. At the final whistle, the police didn't stand a chance of preventing it, and gave up within a couple of minutes.
  • we've always had some very 'interesting' looking fans there's no doubt about that
  • I would have been sitting in a jubilee club leather cinema seat in the ‘west’ stand
