For anyone interested, government guidance for recording death in England and Wales below. But the Queen died in Scotland where guidance maybe different.
4.3 Avoid ‘old age’ alone
Old age, ‘senility’ or ‘frailty of old age’ should only be given as the sole cause of death in very limited circumstances. These are when:
have personally cared for the deceased over a long period (years, or many months)
you have observed a gradual decline in your patient’s general health and functioning
you are not aware of any identifiable disease or injury that contributed to the death
you are certain that there is no reason that the death should be reported to the coroner
Conspiracy theory time: No way did Her Majesty die of ‘old age’. Google ‘causes of death’ and you won’t find ‘old age’ on the list ANYWHERE! The word is that she had either bone or pancreatic cancer and that she had a fall soon after she met Liz Truss; any or all of which probably explain her sad demise. Feels like a cover up to me. Perhaps we are too irrelevant to deserve to be told the truth. Stuff like that will always annoy and bother me.
Do f*ck off. 96 year old dies, and you want to create a conspiracy theory out of the death certificate description. What are “they” meant to be covering up??

Never understand why some people cannot resist a conspiracy theory. Do they not have enough excitement in their lives?

I imagine the football on that day will be moved
Outrageous - no consideration at all. My entire 2023 plans revolved around the trip to Cheltenham on 6 May.
