Think this could be our first defeat under Jacko.. but can’t wait either way. Can’t believe my first game for ages is going to be a bumper crowd, I’ve missed the place so much! Think it will be tough for us, but expecting an entertaining game.. hopefully we can edge it.
If Kettle was the referee you are allowed to appeal anything.
Maybe you've hit the nail on its bonce, CE.
I presume there's still a ref's assessor at matches ?
Could be that Kettle is a marked man following years of "over enthusiasm" when it comes to showing cards & the subsequent appeals, so enough was finally enough at Burton last Saturday.
As a result, all cards he flourished at that match have been rescinded, with the ever popular Mr K now on a final warning.
A draw would be a spectacular result. If fit/available you would expect Lavelle, Inniss, Famewo, JFC, Leko and Stockley all to be in our match day 11. Bodes well for the future but anything out of Saturday will be fantastic.
Can't see where the goals are going to come from assuming Stockley is banned & Washington (as rumoured) has a slight niggle (must have been that powerful shot he took on Monday against Italy....🙄). That leaves us with just Davison......unless Burstow is on the bench, but then no one would be stupid enough to blood a youngster in front of a full house when you could have done it away at Burton where he would have been playing in front of 3 men & a dog. Managers never cease to amaze me.
0-2 and the Pilgrims progress continues.....and the world must be a strange place when we are fearing Plymouth at home.

"I don't see where the goals are going to come from". Clare Purrington Jaiyesimi Lavelle Leko Lee Davison have scored this season so far.
Looking forward to this but I have to say, I hate the 'fill the valley' project which could bugger up the afternoon.
We are 17th in the third tier and have just put a little string of good results together under a new manager offering a little bit of hope. Far too early to start celebrating and showing off with high profile marketing hype. It puts pressure on the players when we should be focused on working hard and keeping a low profile for a while.
Plymouth will relish the role of party poopers and it gives them an extra incentive,
There is something about Mr Sandgaard's ego that can't resist the lure of the Hollywood rock star approach and for me it's inapproptate and a distraction from the real task of moving up the league.
A load of neutrals looking at their phones and leaving ten minutes early for refreshments will not help the result and I hope it doesn't backfire.
Having said all that. I think we will win 2-1 and the lack of Stockley might be a blessing in disguise.
I think the back three will be Clare, Pearce and Gunter. Can't see Stockley winning the appeal, so Washington and Davison up top. Same midfield. Could be 0-0 this.

Given our absentees it would appear unlikely that we’ll get anything out of this. Having said that, I do think we are potentially a more fluent side with no Stockley so who knows. If Jacko gets a win out of this under the circs then I think any argument for him not getting the job disappears.
This may be too much of a test given the situation with suspensions in the defence but the new look Charlton continue to give hope.
A sneaky and dogged 1-0 with all fingernails bitten in the last few minutes and much hiding behind a proverbial sofa for those is us not at The Valley.
I think it is a case of managing expectations. They have the form (long-term form) to win this and they have lots of goals in them with a good defence. I think we should as fans not expect a win but more expect a good performance with no heads down and a continuous battling spirit. No point in going into this hoping not to lose.
With 3 CB out and Pearce and Deji the last two standing and Plymouth scoring for fun it feels like the away nap of the day especially with Stockley missing to help out the defence from set pieces.
I may be reading this wrong and just feeling a bit down with some of the comments stated by TS about the process of finding a new manager but my heart states a win in front of a large crowd but my Football head goes with 1-3 and despite the effort and running of Cafc I feel the momentum of Plymouth and the quality shown by them in recent weeks will see the green army go back to Devon happy.
I so want to be wrong with the result, and maybe we can negate their attacking play with good moves of our own. Davidson, Washington and Lee will need to be on fire.
Mega game for JJ and he will do well to sleep tonight.
There will be a wide variety of catering options available to supporters for Saturday’s game, with catering vans in the West car park serving fish and chips and Colombian arepas, while Lush Burgers will be situated in the East Stand.
Located in the Fans’ Bar, Jam Paradise will be serving jerk chicken, jerk pork or Jamaican ackee along with some delicious sides, with the guest ale for Saturday’s game being Doom Bar.

If I eat too much jerk chicken, there will be a Charlton version of 3 little birds, by 3.05.

Could say he's almost gone for a Burton ....:-)

Edited: Not to mention Burstow.
draw at the very best
quick wake up call as HMS Piss the League takes a little bump
1-3 to the Pilgrims , who once again show what a real away following looks like for a 500 mile round trip

We go ahead thru' Washington then they batter us for 70 mins and finally equalise in the 95th minute.
