I'm normally very positive on these threads but I'm having a Golfie moment with this one. Plymouth will be really up for this I think after we beat them the other week and started their recent decline in form, no doubt they will be looking to turn their recent run of results around and where better to do that than against the team that started it. Hoping our run continues but I can see this being a draw at best
You certainly are as I came on here to post the exact same thing.
Symmetry being what it is this match has all the hallmarks of being the opposite of a month ago. Then they were on a good run & hadn't lost in God knows when whereas we had just dropped points in our last 2 matches. Saturday will be our turn to be done over by a side looking to turn around their fortunes and for us to be stopped in our tracks.
2-0.......because that's the in vogue scoreline.
Oh mate we are bang in trouble now ! If you and I are thinking the same when we are always poles apart the signs are not good lol
I wonder what impact Covid19 has on the squad? Maybe no one has tested positive but given just how players are getting it wouldn't be surprised to see a few changes.
Plymouth seek to take revenge for us detailing their season
Good to see this match going ahead with so many cancellations. Will depend on what team we can put out but on current form and with a week of rest we might be ok? Plymouth will want to impress under their new manager too and are in the top 6 for a reason. Honours even, 2-2.
Reckon we're going to pull off a golfie today, coming back strong 2nd half to give us all a Merry Christmas. 1-2 Charlton, Conor and cap'n Pearce with the goals.
If the players were playing for JJ to get the job it's mission accomplished - let's hope there is no drop off in intensity. I don't think there will be. We have a settled and confident side, who I am sure fancy their chances against anybody. My only real concern at the moment is Stockley's discipline. His rutting buck routine last week could easily have got him sent off if the ref had seen it. We cannot afford to lose him for another 3 or 4 matches. I am sure JJ is on top of it, so fingers crossed. 0-1 to the men in red.
There must be quite a few people missing this 'non sports related' thread. I guess that many people like me often click on 'general Charlton' especially on a match day.

1 - 1 draw. Stockley penalty
What's the best free VPN?
And it's a thick layer of rich clotted cream with a dollop of jam in the middle.

At least that's the right county unlike all the pasty references.
But should the cream go on first, or the jam? Hopefully that'll be the most controversial talking point of the day.

Classic Charlton moment. And I was there!
The heathens in the Windy City across the border have to be different, of course.
Cream then jam , anything else is for village eejits
edit : contradiction time it’s prolly a little less messy jam then cream …. So I’m the eejit
