Calling all punk fans: Favourite punk singles?

Over these last couple of years of covid misery I’ve taken to blogging, mainly the Jimmy Seed/Minnie Seed stuff, but also one about buying records.
The first post covered 1969-1974 when I was still at school. I bought my earliest records in Medhursts in Bromley where David Bowie bought his (much cooler) records some years earlier, when he was still at school. That list includes prog through to Roxy and Kraftwerk.
The second (much shorter) post covered my college years when I couldn’t afford to buy many albums. Lots of Bowie and Velvet Underground.
The third post covers buying dub reggae albums between 1977 and 1980.
There are a couple of Spotify playlists that mean you can hear tracks from most of the featured albums.

The next post will be about buying punk singles between ‘77 and maybe ‘80 or ‘81, and I’ll have to go through my box and list them all (around a hundred I’d guess) but I’d really be interested to get an idea of what your favourite punk singles are?
Also, are they the same now as they were back in the day? For example my favourites were Pistols and Clash singles back then, but now they’re vying with the Ramones, early Buzzcocks and the Lurkers, for some reason 😂

The band that inspired London Punks but didn’t look like Punks, were the Pink Fairies. So in tribute to them I nominate the single with the most ‘punk’ title.
    ‘Do it’.

that came from the mid 90s. for the late 70s i would say Pretty Vacant by the Sex Pistols. Mainly because of the Abba riff..

My first day at ITN, 11 July 1977 I walked out of reception and walked past studio two, and could hear them recording the video for this. They got chucked out for throwing beer cans at one of the cameramen (Micky James) who innocently asked if they were joking. They came back the next day and finished the vid. I loved the Pistols and got to know Paul Cook when he was helping his dad with his carpentry work.

Long time ago. We all change - I have. John was very unassuming then and played down the success of the singles. We didn't really talk about them.
