Another place I've never even heard of
It's from reading Patrick O'Brian novels - I wanted to find out about Desolation Island, and ever since I've wondered what it would be like living on Kergeulen.
Other than where my sister worked, in geography I have an interest in out of the way places and islands (often French, like St. Pierre & Miquelon).
Today's, in contrast, holds little fascination for me...
