I never would have got todayβs in a million years. Same as a few others. Question. Is it ok to go searching for the shape on a map? (not an easy task in itβs own right). After all, itβs still educational. Say if youβre at try number 5 with still no clue. At least with the Wordle game you can use letter logic to get to the answer. With Worldle some of the countries are obscure to say the least. Not sure what the general expectation is.Β
If I'm not sure to start off with, I normally try a country that might be it, so yesterday, I went for Uzbekistan first, on the basis that there are a few similar shaped countries in Central Asia.
I have a general rule of thumb...
If I see straight lines. I normally think Africa (what with the 19th Century carve up), while if I see groups of islands, I normally start in the South Pacific, while with single islands I go Caribbean.
And, quite often, the size of the country is a clue.
