far too many ads on the hub and the female presenter repeats herself as if she's muddling her words.
Appreciate this might be a bit of a 'gammon' opinion but I did find it odd that there was a feature on the Exeter women's team midway through the show.

Might be to put them in the Football League's good books, I suppose. The Sunday repeat of MOTD used to have a "community" feature about a Premier League club (maybe it still does).
Had a quick look the other night - Colin Murray's a huge loss. He's genuinely enthusiastic and is interested in what goes on both on and off the pitch, and they had a roster of decent stand-ins.
For the ITV pair, it just looks like another gig to them.
I don't understand. Why do you have to use ITV hub, Now TV, or satellite when it's on ITV terrestrial TV?
Perhaps you really are a Silly Billy😉. Most likely, I'm out of touch again 😕
Because I’d have to watch it at the time it is broadcast and you can’t fast forward terrestrial tv so I’d be stuck with the adverts.
Why can't you record it?
Alternatively you can pause it at the beginning while you do something else, come back 20-30 minutes later and fast forward the ads, can't you?
Sorry, just curious.
I don’t have any recording device. My terrestrial tv comes straight from an external aerial. I don’t think “down the wire” terrestrial tv is pausable (I could be wrong) but even if it was, I would have to watch (or at least start to watch) at the time the programme is broadcast which I seldom want to do. I suppose I could buy some sort of hard drive box that would allow me to record programmes but I guess having got used to the apps I want to be able to access old box sets etc rather than record “current stuff” over a period of weeks. I just don’t want all the adverts. To be honest, even fast forwarding through the ads is a pain in the arse as it interrupts your concentration if it’s a decent drama etc.
A nice (and slightly random as all the games were from the Championship) feature on our academy tonight on the highlights, with interviews with Miles Leaburn and Elewere.
Seemed to be more talk and less football, but that may just be because they had 'colin' talking which probably feels much longer than it really is...
The brief summaries of the L1 and L2 games were bloody awful - sound balance between crowd noise / summariser was all wrong - hard to hear the summariser most of the time and then they were drowned out after a goal.
And can't imagine the presenters will be keen on recording the links from the ground of the featured game after the match when it gets to cold, dark evenings...
My guess is that they did more Plymouth/Huddersfield stuff throughout the show just to fill a bit of time, considering 3 of the big Championship games are happening today.
The previous studio summarisers last season were good if not great. Yesterday we had Jules standing in very strong winds pitch side interviewing one after another player and manager from the boring Plymouth v Huddersfield game. I mean who cared apart from those teams fans? Every time I thought they would move on, they played some adverts and interviewed another. Boring.
They still spent an hour on The Championship (too long on the above game), but instead of L1 & L2 getting 30 mins each, they had 30 mins between them.
They only showed our goal & that was that from The Valley
It was way better on Quest with Colin Murray hosting. ITV was ok last season but if this is what we’re getting every week I will be recording and fast forwarding through most of the first half of the show each week
Last night's offering, which I recorded and watched this morning, was nothing short of awful! 30 mins spent on 1 champ game - Plymouth vs Huddersfield, 30 mins spent on the rest of the Champ and 30 mins on League 1 and 2 combined. Couldn't hear the summariser on most of the games, and broadcasting from Home Pk for the whole show....really crap. If this is their offering going forward I'm not going to waste my time....absolute shambles!
Pretty awful viewing. 30+ minutes on one game, with multiple interviews that added very little. I often think some channels are guilty of over-analysing games but, that feature game apart, ITV did bugger all with all the rest.
It’s a real shame they didn’t just hire the Quest team, particularly Colin Murray and the lads from Not the Top 20, Ali & George.
Echo most peoples views. They only showed 3 "highlights" from our match - 2 of ours & 1 of Orients. Couldn't have lasted more than 20 seconds. Very poor.
My son has been doing a Digital Media & Journalism college course & shadowed a bloke who does Spurs tv. Went up to Stockley Park where a lot of broadcasts come from and went past a lot of recording "booths" that are used by the voice overs. Seems like ITV might be doing it themselves & recording on the spot rather than using a soundproof "booth" after the event.

Just my guess though.
The fact that Jules was interviewing pitch side surely tells us that ITV were recording on the spot, rather than a soundproof booth?
gave them a pass for the first 'Plymouth' episode but then watched the second one this weekend. My god its awful. they have ticked boxes for presenters who seem to know nought about football, (not like thats a new thing) but the actual 'highlights' are appalling. commentators making puns. Wrexham one was tragic. they will of course carry this on, which is a shame. I want to see highlights of every game going on, i'm not watching it for poor presenting and childish commentary. I don't think anybody is.
I must admit I was never a fan of the pundits who used to be on there, just stating the obvious and filling time (NTT20 lads aside).
But at least Quest seemed to treat the opportunity of having EFL highlights seriously, as if it were their flagship show.
I agree with you but would give a nod to Sam Parkin. He was always decent on there, I found him knowledgeable and articulate. Dean Ashton was perfectly passable too. Both were made to look immeasurably better when Clinton was alongside.

Suppose nothing has changed in that respect.
