Sounds like just the interview now so maybe a five minute slot after 19:30 it seems from what they are saying.

    some things never change.

"lets have an hour long programme about little old Charlton"

Chelsea owner puts them up for sale - something that will take a year or so & can be talked about any other time

"stuff Charlton, lets just speculate about Chelsea once more"

  • Did I hear Nick Godwin stop a caller in his tracks and say, 'Roman Abramovich  - nothing to do with Putin he's just a successful businessman who happens to be Russian'.  Not just the Charlton news watered down then.

Am I the only person who thinks this sounds slightly strange?

Only thinks a few signings are required for a top 2 next season.

3rd highest budget in league one?

He said he’s lost 8m this season and that can’t continue.

Jackson already building and planning for next season in terms of transfers etc.

    mentioning about derby situation.

TS: No CEO. Football not that difficult. Admits he knows f**k all about football. But his son does!

    Bizarre
Yeah, “has same knowledge as someone shouting at the tv watching sky sports” quoted he’s knowledge about football.

Please get football people involved in decision making. This clown is taking us nowhere next season.

Sandgaard saying Roland Duchatelet ran the club more sensibly financially but made a number of mistakes on the football side.
Says there's a change needed to the business culture at the club.
Wants to get to a break even situation - says he's losing £8m this season.

Roland mark 2. He's the one that can do things different and be successful!

And now running the rule on how to run a club sensibly avoiding the calamity that is Derby county who just threw money away.

This from a man that has just given a 3.5 year deal to Chuck's Aneke!!

He does sound like a kid with a new toy & he knows best.

Some of that was just strange. If we were in the Championship, his ideas about running the club would make a lot more sense.

But with the third highest budget, being in the bottom half and not even certain of staying up, it just doesn't make any sense to me.

Only half positive is that we're planning for next season, but you'd assume that would be the case anyway.

Why do our owners think they can buck a 100 year trend of football clubs being loss making concerns.

Personally I think people are being v harsh. If he was saying this with us in the play off position then people would probably be agreeing with him. There needs to be a long term shift change to make football clubs more financially viable.

Key thing for me is his enthusiasm and approach for next season seems high, talk of increasing budget further and at a competitive level for promotion, seems there’s a fair strategy think already in place for next year, that Jacko is clearly in plan for next season etc

    Perhaps I misread it all
No you just read it with rose tinted specs.

I like the guy but he came over as a pleasant version of Roland. Deluded and up himself. I genuinely wish him well but I found a lot of what he had to say rather worrying. Golfie got it right with the kid with a new toy analogy.  I can understand why Jacko has a face like a smacked arse at the moment.

Don’t think Tommy has done himself any favours with that interview. The meeting with CAST will be interesting.

Well we can all interpret anything in multiple ways.

First time I’ve been called unduly positive though lol
