  • While it's certainly not the best news, the fact you've been having regular scans should hopefully mean that it's been caught early enough that it's fairly straightforward to remove. 6cm is what, about the size of your thumb? Fingers crossed the consultant will be able to put your mind at rest a bit, and that you'll be able to get it sorted pretty soon.
  • Oh blimey, best wishes for everything @Bedsaddick. Looking forward to having you and your film reviews back fitter and stronger xx
  • Best wishes @Bedsaddick. Stay determined and as positive as you can be. You can beat this.
  • As Ali has said Beds lets hope the scan has caught it early and it can be removed. Stay strong mate and the very best of luck.
  • Fingers crossed for you Beds…..I’m certain every single member of the forum wishes you well. 🤞
Definitely. All the very best, Beds.
  • Beds, I'm so sorry to hear this news. You and your family must be in turmoil. All I can say is good luck, it sounds as though it has been caught early and will be dealt with quickly.
  • Best wishes Beds. Easier said than done, I'm certain, but try to think of it as a temporary setback.
  • Wishing you all the very best Beds.
  • Just seen this and sorry to hear this latest news @Bedsaddick. Wishing you the swiftest and fullest recovery possible fella.

  • I've followed this thread closely and huge respect to Beds and others for sharing their news and updates, I'm sure it's helped.
Got news yesterday that my brother has Bowel Cancer and is due chemo from next week. He's already dealt with non hodgkins lymphoma twice.
Can I say fuck on this site?
@Hertsseasider, you can, as long as you're not directing it at another poster (otherwise @blackpool72 would have been banned long ago for his "just sell the club and fuck off" mantra :) ), and in this case I think it'd be entirely justified. I hope your brother's chemo isn't too rough on him, and that it gives him the best chance possible.

Very best wishes Beds. Hopefully a Swift operation and a speedy recovery. Keep on.
  • All the best @Bedsaddick, stay strong.
  • Better news Beds, stay strong mate & we're sure you'll be fine.
  • Phew ! That's positive news, Beds so let's hope the surgeon is as good as his word and you'll be on the road to recovery very soon.

    Stay strong x
  • Good to hear the news Beds, so I reckon you will be back with some players marks for MKD away, which is coincidental as I think MK is in Beds
  • Good luck Beds with the op. You say that you are "lucky" in being seen so quickly but no one is lucky to go through what you have to go through. It is indeed though, as you intimate, a sad reflection that so many other people's lives are being put at greater risk because the NHS does not have the resource. Really hope that you are back to full health and get given the "all clear" soon enough.
  • Good luck Beds,  we're all with you,  stay positive.

  • Nice one Beds, look after yourself and stay positive, it sounds like you are in good hands
  • Good luck with it all Beds.
  • Good luck Beds. Not going to be pleasant but at least there is a hopeful option which is great news.
  • Wishing you all the very best Beds - sending all my positivity your way. Positive you will beat this!
  • I missed your update @Bedsaddick on account of being carpaccioed by the NHS myself at that point. Very sorry about your setback, and wish you all the best in overcoming this latest hurdle. The bastard disease won't be as determined to get you as you, and the rest of us on your behalf, are determined not to be got. All best wishes and tons of strength.
