Morning all and thanks @TCE for keeping people updated. I now have a new friend, please say hello to Baggy McBag Face! Operation went well , the fight for Angie and myself now is to defeat the fucking tumour! Take care all Malc x
All the best mate, but I wouldn't trust that Baggy bloke, I've heard he's a bit of a shitbag
Good evening guys/gals. Had a very rough few days, both physically and mentally. I'm still in hospital with no date to go home as yet. Biopsy confirmed cancer was told this morning, stoma fitted - hate it - but it's a means to an end, don't think I'll be down The Valley for a few months yet unfortunately. I know Ray has been keeping you updated, but I just wanted to say thanks to you all for your best wishes. Trying my best to fight back and hope to back down SE7 in the not too distant future. Chemo and radiotherapy start in a couple of weeks, I have a battle to win. Cheers Malc x
well done Malc for keeping going, I realise that your stoma is far more serious than my catheters that I have been using for years but if you have to then you do. Stay strong for the chemo, the Lass is 3 sessions in and we hope to find out if successful in 2 weeks, it's the uncertainty that gets us, and kind thoughts to your family who need to stay strong R

Good luck Sir. You’ll be back fully fit before Aneke.
All the best in the tough days ahead Malc. You're an Addick so are used to adverse events, but importantly so are many of your pals on here. Whatever is put in your path, there is always someone here 24/7 to listen whatever the news.
@Redmidland best wishes mate. Stay strong and positive as you know there will be good days and bad days but on the bad ones remember your loved ones and you fellow mental cafc supporters are pulling for you
Hi Malc @Redmidland I’ve just caught up with recent events and so of course I want to add my best wishes, and I’m confident you are going to get through this.
Colorectal cancer is in my family. My Mum had it in 1984, before chemo was even available. It was 100% successful, it never returned and she passed away in 2017, aged 90. My sister got it in 2008, again 100% successful. It’s too prevalent in the UK partly IMO because they havent been good on screening, but I think as a result they really know what they are doing when it comes to operating.
Hana and I wish and believe you will soon be joining the many who have beaten this bastard.
