Oh sh*t ! We're barely into March but this is turning out to be a devastating start to the year for our Charlton Life family.

Oh mate, I’m so sorry to hear your news. We don’t know each other, only through Net Addicks and CL and It’s difficult to know what to say at times like this. But all I will say is that you’re in my thoughts and prayers and I’m sending big love to you and your family. Stay strong 💪1

Ah shit, I'm so sorry to hear that. At the risk of setting you off again, if the power of positive thinking can provide even a marginal benefit, you know we've got your back on here. Enjoy the game tomorrow (team performance permitting) and best of luck with your treatment.

This is luck of the very worst kind
I am 79 and I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2010 and I had an operation called a Whipples procedure in Feb 2011 . This was followed by a period of chemo for a number of months
It was not an easy time for me but with the skill and help of the medical staff I have managed to survive
I have regular check ups yearly and I have no recurrence of cancer at this time
The most important thing for me was to have faith and trust in the medical team taking care of me
I hope your treatment successful and you make a full recovery
I know everyone on here wishes you well
Good Luck

I wouldn't put too much faith in the team, @Bedsaddick, but in those around you, both close and distant, who are willing you through this. No doubt it'll be a bumpy ride and tough times lie ahead, but you'll get there.
Anyway, nobody else is going to stick their head above the parapet choosing Christmas films, you're stuck with it now mate.
All power to you.3 -
Wishing you all the best, stay strong!1

We don’t hear enough Cancer recover stories, so here goes…
At the age of 75 my father in-law was diagnosed with oesophagus cancer. He went through chemo, and major op, and now at the age of 84 he’s still with us, enjoying a glass of red and has just flown out again on another holiday!Thinking of you mate.11 -
That is really rotten news, Beds. Not surprised it took the wind from your sails.
As others have said, it can be a difficult road, but keeping a positive "I can beat this" attitude will help get you through the treatment.
Best of luck.1 -
Sorry to hear this Beds. Hoping you have a good outcome on Monday. Thinking of you and your family1
