    Fuck off Egypt.

    WTF
Egypt had never won a Knock out match before this world cup.
    They have over achieved.
I was expressing my disappointment in their failure to hold onto a lead against a team I want knocked out.

So to reiterate, fuck off Egypt.

    Come on Egypt!
Agreed. That midfield of Wilson, Kepple and Betty looks good.
And I thought I was old...

One for the older seniors. I actually saw them in Oxford Street in the late1950's.

The foul was not on Salah, it was on the other bloke in the area. He was pulled down

I’d love to see a replay of both incidents.

I’d be almost certain that they’d have found a foul there if they wanted to.

No review for VAR at the other end Quelle Surprise.
    Salah dived. What’s to review?
TBF I haven't seen it yet.

But of course they've barely shown a replay, whereas there was 425 of them for the disallowed Egypt goal.

It's a wonder how Jon Champion is able to speak with Messi's todger so far down his throat.

Hassan and Zico were Egypt's best players.  Once they went off, all Egypt could do was try to hang on.

I’ve always been against the idea that football is rigged.

Even I’m starting to question the legitimacy of some of this officiating.

When the ref/VAR want to find a decision they will. VAR slowmo’s and angles really don’t help.

More bothered that I’ll have to listen to the commentators toss themselves off over Messi for at least one more game rather than the fact we might end up playing them - pretty confident we beat them.

The only two teams I hate are Chelsea and Argentina and Enzo Fernandez scores the winner 😤

At this level with FIFA involved football is completely rigged. Not a fan of uefa but please let's just avoid this scummy organisation once and for all.

It’s still like for like on the other shirt pull. Zero consistency. If we beat Norway we will go out via a VAR. (just my opinion)

Are you saying the outcome of Argentina v Egypt was rigged in some way? I really don’t believe that it was

Wanted Egypt to win that as the spaces on my world cup wall chart are quite tight

But there's been cases that have come out afterwards - like South Korea getting crazy decisions v Italy and Spain in 2002.

Calciopoli.  Barcelona paying the refereeing chief millions for "technical reports".

I 100% think FIFA have wanted Messi in the final in the last two World Cups and Argentina therefore get the benefit of the doubt every time.

I can completely understand why the Egyptian management were incensed at the end.

Messi, face of the MLS, kept in the competition with some dodgy officiating? Well I never.

How far back do you want to go to find a way to disallow a goal in just that match.. theres no consistency.. never mind the loads of other problems with FIFA during this tournament..

Corruption reeks and FIFA absolutely stinks of it

FIFA are corrupt, there’s no doubt about that. And there has clearly been rigged games at World Cups in the past (2002, Italy v South Korea especially), but there’s nothing wrong with that Argentina winner.

Listen to Wrighty's analysis on the pen shout on Salah. He has it spot on. There was contact. You pull it back for Egypts goal then you pull it back for that.

Classic Argie double standards. FIFA would HATE for us to beat them. They wont let it happen.
