Now that England are qualified, wondering whether to go?

If England group matches are on east coast, i.e New York that would swing it as have a friend who lives there.

Tickets went on sale on Sept 25th? so whats the deal as

The draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C....so are we supposed to buy a ticket and hope England play in the stadium on the date, has anyone looked into it or bought tickets?

    Chat GPT on venues?

    Venue / Stadium Allocation

    • Before the tournament, FIFA identifies a number of host cities and specific stadiums in those cities. In 2026 there are 16 host cities across three countries (USA, Canada, Mexico).

    • The schedule (i.e. which match is in which stadium) is worked out in advance, and after the draw for the tournament groups, group‐stage matches are assigned to stadiums.

    • For the host nations, their group matches are guaranteed to be played in their own country. So Mexico, Canada, and USA will each play their group‐stage games within their national venues.

    •  Geographical / Logistical Considerations

    • FIFA tries to minimize travel for teams and fans. That means stadiums are chosen and matches scheduled so that there is reasonable geographical clustering, rest days between matches, etc.

    • The plan also ensures host nations’ matches are more “home” geographically, and that stadiums are spread out but still accessible.

What sort of percentage of tickets would you expect to get for a particular game?

Norway v Estonia 0-0 at half time. Still 0-0 on 50 minutes.

    64 minutes gone and it’s 4-1.
I missed the first half. Looks like I got lucky!

Haaland with just the two goals. That's 30 in 19 games this season for club and country and we're only in the middle of November. He also has a ridiculous 53 goals in 47 games for Norway and is still only 25 so probably hasn't reached his peak yet!
  • The second top scorer in European qualifying (Memphis Depay) has 7 goals. Haaland has 14.

Does Lee Dixon actually watch any football other than England games?
His amazement and incredulous reaction to Jordan Pickford going down “injured” allowing Tuchel to give a team talk felt like something my football hating 80 year old mother might say if she were being forced to watch.

How can a professional commentator and ex-player not be aware of this being common practice in the game at the moment?

And Esteve of Burnley is still the only other player to score more than one goal in the PL for City.

Where does this school of keepers punching each and every single cross come from? The England goal came from the Serbia keeper doing so when under no pressure whatsoever - there wasn't a single England player within five yards of him.

Yeh him and matterface were both worried why he’d gone down when it was plainly obvious. Very strange

ITV haven’t mentioned the fact there’s no Serbians there either. Strange

Ref just got called to the monitor in the France Ukraine game for a potential penalty. But he looked and didn’t give it. Not sure how many times that happens

Italy still 0-0 in Moldova. Norway basically already qualified barring a massive GS swing but if the Italians don’t win tonight then qualification is sorted tonight.

And one is given up the other end just a minute or two later.

Imagine being able to bring Foden and Bellingham on. I don't want to tempt fate, but how many countries would give anything to be able to do that?

Bellingham look likes he’s sulking when he comes on. He’ll be a different player Sunday when he starts.

The amount of talent England have is impressive. Was a lot of talk about this squad being much weaker than the last few years but I’d argue the opposite.

A sign of how poor Serbia have been in qualification,  that they now can't catch Albania.

No doubting the talent but think there is weak positions, especially at the back

I'm not so sure. I think centre mid has strengthened but our left is a bit of an issue. Arguably our most talented players all occupy the same space too.

We haven't really played good enough opposition to assess the team so we won't find out either way until we get to tournament knock outs.
