It will irritate me if Jordan Henderson gets a spot. How much influence around the dressing room and camp come someone have ffs. He will absolutely crumble in that humidity.

England 26 man squad announced Friday.

Some big decisions to be made.
BBC have about a 60 person squad as listed above.

Pardon my French, but fuck. This one really hurts being a Denmark supporter.
Had three match balls. THREE! After missing USA 1994 (still gutted), I was really looking forward to this one.

Worst pain since 1993 in Seville, where Denmark couldn't beat a 10-man Spain, after that w@nker Bakero committed a clear freekick on Schmeichel, which the blind ref managed to miss and Hierro then headed it home for a 1-0 win.

    First match ball:
At home to Belarus (who we beat 6-0 away). Only managed a 2-2 draw. The manager rested a few players... (that itself is a sackable offence). Belarus scored twice in three minutes halfway through the 2nd half when Denmark decided to have a nap).

    Second match ball:
Then away to Scotland. Conceding within a couple of mins after a McTominay scissorkick in over 8 feets height. Then back in the game at the hour mark and in control. Then getting a player incorrectly sent off (2nd yellow). But VAR can't check for 2nd yellows, only straight reds. They've since changed this rule...great!
Scotland up 2-1 a few mins later. Denmark equalise in the 82nd minute. Scotland scores the winner in the 93rd after a failed Danish clearance.

    Third match ball:
Then off to Prague, where we lose after penalties in a game where we had 77% possession. And the Czech's score a worldie after a couple of mins, just like Scotland did.

Fuck off football, just fuck off!!!
(At least give me three points vs Bristol - pretty please).

I feel your pain . I’m old enough to remember us not qualifying for USA 94 World Cup and it was horrible.
The likes of Denmark and Italy should be in World Cup finals .
I have no sympathy.  Both nationalities have won a major tournament in my lifetime. We’re a great football nation who have to sit by and watch others celebrate all the time.

Maybe I’d feel differently if that Danish nurse I met in Hawaii had wanted to go past first base.
I do actually appreciate how lucky I was - Denmark won a major trophy when I was nearly 17, which was old enough to drink and occasionally get past first base.
Living in Denmark and 'past first base'.  You lucky lad :)

Take him as a cheerleader... Shouldn't be anywhere near the squad

Here’s the top 20 in the market:

Kane, Pickford, Rice, Guehi, Saka, Rogers, Anderson, Gordon, Konsa, D.Henderson, Palmer, O’Reilly, Bellingham, Stones, Hall, Rashford, Watkins, Maguire, James, Eze

    Leaves 6 available spots for:

J.Henderson, Foden, Trafford, Burn, Madueke, Bowen, Mainoo, Livramento, Spence, Wharton, Garner, Tomori, Quansah, Lewis-Skelly, Alexander-Arnold, Ramsdale, Shaw, Colwill, Gibbs-White, White, Chalobah, Calvert-Lewin, Welbeck
This is what i think the squad will be:

    Keepers: Pickford, Henderson, Trafford.
    Left back: O'Reilly, Hall
Right back: James, Livramento (although i personally would pick Trent)
Centre back: Guehi, Konsa, Burn, Stones, Maguire
DM: Rice, Anderson, Henderson (although i would pick Mainoo)
    AM: Bellingham, Rogers, Eze, Gibbs-White
    LW: Rashford, Gordon
    RW: Saka, Palmer
Striker: Kane, Watkins, Calvert-Lewin (not convinced by him but you have to take a 3rd striker)

Since Gibbs-White and Watkins got left out of that huge 30+ squad for the last friendlies they have probably been the best 2 players in the Premier League. They should both go. For the Rogers should go. Likely that one or both of Foden and Palmer will miss out

I would take welbeck instead of Henderson if your picking purely for experience

Guess Harvey Barnes and Jarad Bowen also could be in contention over Palmer and Foden.

Worth noting that the BBC are based in Salford and ITV are based out in the States. That + no radio = much smaller team

I thought they might’ve taken Daniel Mann and/or Adam Summerton for commentary on some of the lower profile matches they’ll show.

I like a little flutter at the big international tournaments.....may have a few bob on Japan....would an E/W bet mean they would have to reach the semis?

Check the terms offered by the bookmaker.

Just checked Bet365 and they offer separate markets for countries reaching last 16, quarters, semis and final.

They're win only markets as you reach that stage or you don't.

Many hoteliers in the USA not happy with the amount of bookings.

    https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c9q34pxv79eo

"Hotels said high match ticket pricing, local transport and tax costs, and the political backdrop have put visitors off."

But reading the article, as usual the hotels have been taking the piss with prices, so they don't seem to be blameless.

Cole Palmer and Phil Foden both left out out as well by the sound of things (Talk sport), but Henderson, Mainoo, and Toney(!) are all in.

USA squad announced. Was leaked a couple days ago. I expect home field advantage and an easy group to see this team get to the knockout rounds, but wouldn't expect much from them. No Aiden Morris, who looked excellent for Boro this season.

Funny that bums like Roldan and Berhalter have made it in over Morris. Unbelievable. I think MLS puts quite a lot of pressure on USMNT managers to pick their players. I mean how has Tim Ream at his age made it into the squad!
