It's a good draw, especially being midweek and a few days before Xmas. Obviously, you wouldn't know it from the many expected negative posts.
The main thing stopping this from being a big game to look forward to is the Charlton "supporters" ,who are determined not to enjoy anything Charlton and are already talking about only 5,000 Charlton fans going.
It's such a shame that CL is so negative about everything Charlton and I don't understand why people spend the majority of their time being negative about so much.
Posted November 10th. Well done to the Charlton fans. I'm confident the support on the night helped us scrape through. Great night.
12.6 Use of Technology. Where the venue at which any Competition Match is to be played has:
12.6.1 a goal line technology system installed; and/or
12.6.2 such equipment as is necessary to enable the use of video assistant referees,
12.7 in compliance with the Laws of the Game, the Management Committee shall be entitled to determine whether any such system(s) should be used, and its decision shall be final. The Management Committee may also mandate the installation of temporary systems for a Semi-Final at home grounds of League Clubs.
Guidance
Costs of installation would be borne centrally. Costs of operations fall under Rule 18.1.
Forest who just won 4-1 away at Blackburn who are third in the championship?
Personally i think we have to be realistic and accept it's unlikely we'll get much further, so for me i think i'd prefer to get City/Liverpool or United. Been a long time since we played one of the big guns.
My kids said it’s the first time they’d seen a prem team (although sheepishly one admitted to seeing West Ham with his friend ) so we’ve not had many home games against a prem team or in recent years an away fixture
Fuck em , I want Forest at home and more progression want to go as far as possible !! although 100% we’re out next round whoever we get

If you think that then wouldn't you rather go out to Man City or United in front of 27,111 at the Valley than losing at home to Forest?

My boys want the big prem away day as not been to a prem ground with us and they are 19 and 22 !!! Selfishly I want the shittest team left at home and try and progress - let’s dream big and make it 2 major honours more than our local rivals - crazy things can happen in football and we specialise in the bizarre - COYR !!!
Not how it turned out! Go back to page 27 for the reaction when we drew Brighton. The majority were very disappointed because Brighton aren’t a glamour club, and ‘we’ll lose anyway in front of a crowd of 8,000’.
Just goes to show how you can never tell how things will pan out. That was one of favourite nights as a Charlton fan! For the first time ever I’m extremely excited about a Cup draw.
Would love Newcastle away as I can take my Sunderland mate (great nephew of a close friend of Jimmy Seed’s, the fella who returned one of Jimmy’s England caps, which is now on display in the museum).
Liverpool/Man City or Man Utd away or at home would be great, but can’t see getting through.
Any other team at home, and we have a small chance.
Hope Liverpool/City draw Utd, so one would be eliminated.
A glimmer, just a small glimmer, of hope of winning the second major trophy in our history. 100/1 with Paddy Power is about right though. Won’t stop me having a couple of quid on it.
We won't win so let's not get carried away wanting a 'lesser draw'. I'd rather get beat with 6k of us having a party up at old trafford than at home to forest.

emptier the better
he broke his leg last week
Edit apparently not oops 😂
Besides, he's probably secretly pleased as he won't have to play football to fill his dirty wallet for a while.
We'll get Southampton away.
the perks of supporting a small tinpot club like Charlton is you get nights like last night.
for me united away would be the one fantastic ground which wont be there for much longer and I haven't seen us play there.
