Strange celebration. Hope Appleton can turn him into a key part of the squad as he did at Lincoln….especially now we’ve lost Camara (we need him to step up & show what he can do).

Can't say I blame him, especially when Eastterrace6168 goes on to the player marks to give him a 3/10 for today's performance, despite him not being eligible for a mark, scoring the winner, and actually shoring up where he was supposed to and shutting up Robertson for the first time in the game, which was his job.

i don't understand the hate for him. His record shows he is a very good league 1 player that has been struck by injuries since he has been here. I haven't seen enough of him yet to make judgement but as long as he is a Charlton player, he has my support

He’s been a total damp squib of a signing so far, but made a bit of a difference today, even ignoring the goal. With Camara injured, Fraser unsuited, and Watson (L) still struggling to play 90 minutes, and Dobson overdue a suspension securing booking, there is a need in the squad for competition/an alternative option to Dobson and Watson in the more holding 2 in midfield. Pleased for Connor today and really hope he can finally kick on and contribute now. It’ll help us a lot if he can.

He’s been injured almost his entire Charlton career which isn’t his fault and yet there’s a running shit nickname competition for him. McShambles is a popular one, some genius poster used to regularly cal him McCrappy which isn’t even good. He’s been written off on here for the last year. Then you say he ‘got himself injured’ as if that’s his own doing and not a devastating setback for him. He’s barely played, unlike Kirk, and if you look at his player marks and a lot of the comments from the Cray game he was marked down just for being McGrandles even when he actually had a fairly decent first game back from injury. He saves us a point, keeps his celebration understated and suddenly you’re accusing him of having a bad attitude and saying he can do one. He’s a ‘diva’ apparently. All I can say is nice one Conor, always have to be happy when a sub comes on and helps you get some points from a game. Let’s see what he can do from now on, maybe will grow in confidence too, and be ready to properly celebrate a late goal next time.
His post match interview suggested he has been frustrated with performances and injury setbacks. Couldn’t give a monkeys how he celebrates goals, as long as he starts offering something for us, then all good.
