WOW... Wrexham were 3-0 up @ HT at home to Blyth Spartans
Its now 3-2 with 30mins to go0 -

The police are relieved as Chester lost so won’t get the Wrexham/Chester off pitch trouble.ForeverAddickted said:WOW... Wrexham were 3-0 up @ HT at home to Blyth Spartans

We get barely 7k fans watching a league game, wtf will fans want to watch this?Redmidland said:
To them we are a big club and thats what they wanted. I can't vouch for my mates estimation, but it's the biggest game in their recent history. Smallish ex mining town, I think it'll be a very good turn out.Acab said:
They only had 1400 at Notts Co. Was that all they were allocated.Redmidland said:One of my mates that used to coach Under 18 teams up in Nottinghamshire, with me, is now a Director of Coalville Town FC. He contacted me tonight and is really looking forward to the game, they will sell out their allocation for sure.
I just hope that our fans turn up for the game and help boost Coalvilles coffers.
It's what the FA cip is all about.'you're supposed to be at home''you're support is fucking shit''you're ground's too big for you'i'll happily pay a tenner to listen to that all afternoon.

Coalville's stadium, Owen Street Sports Ground has a capacity of 2k and their average crowd is 400 odd.
Havant & Waterlooville and Truro combined had a lot less than 2k. My guess is Coalville will bring 600/700 max.

Just the four post-match reds for Hendon tonight. Think Chippenham got one too.2

I will be going. Never seen Coalville play - this draw is better then Huddersfield away or another league 1 side13

Can't complain, 95% chance of going through to the next round. It would be good to have a little cup run or even a big 3rd round match no?1

I am not assuming we will get through the tie, respect genuine Coalville supporters, and am actually looking forward to the game.0

I would be going anyway but playing a team 99.9% of us had probably never heard of before the name came out in the draw, definitely an I was there game for football fans to turn up toseth plum said:I am not assuming we will get through the tie, respect genuine Coleville supporters, and am actually looking forward to the game.

Even with our awful cup record, there's no way we should be losing this especially at home. They're tier 7, the same level as Cray Wanderers. We usually loan our kids out to a higher level than that.seth plum said:I am not assuming we will get through the tie, respect genuine Coalville supporters, and am actually looking forward to the game.3 -

100% I probably wouldn't have bothered going if we got a League 1/League 2 side.Stewart said:I will be going. Never seen Coalville play - this draw is better then Huddersfield away or another league 1 side2 -
Train strike planned for the Saturday. What will be a low attendance anyway, just got lower still.0

The RMT seem to have deliberately picked the FA cup weekend. With strike action on the 3rd, 5th and 7th of November.clive said:
We may have the lowest FA cup gate in decades, give how badly effected SE trains are but also EMR which covers most routes into London for Coalville fans.0 -

Will put off a lot of casual Coalville followers, if they can't do a bit of London socialising before/after. It's put me off....not sure I want to drive to the game from Middlesex. Club ought to move it to Sunday 6th Nov.msomerton said:

I am sure they will arrange coach travel considering this isn't an opportunity they get every week.msomerton said:

This is their FA cup semi final (since we don't do cup runs xD)0 -
Who remembers our fourth round tie against non-league Kettering at Sell-Out Park? They brought 50 coachloads, packed the Holmesdale Road end.
We won 2-1(Robert Lee, Paul Williams). January 1989. Attendance 16,001.

I was but a child, the only thing i remember from the match was their Asian goalkeeper. I remember thinking how unusual it was.Viewfinder said:Who remembers our fourth round tie against non-league Kettering at Sell-Out Park? They brought 50 coachloads, packed the Holmesdale Road end.

I think the rail strike will now affect their numbers. It depends I suppose how much laying on coaches will cost, what with the cost of living crisis.
Even I, as a ST holder, and just 1 junction down from Coalville on the M1 will have to consider the cost of fuel etc.1
