  • Leaburn hasn't played well, not that bad but 5/10. If Stockley played like that first half he'd be getting slaughtered.
  • Wickham P4, G2
    Stockley P7, G1

We were 8th after we scored. If we had scored the 3 or 4 that we should have done we would have been 7th.

But that's what happens when you don't sign any strikers. CBT is good at what he does & will score the odd goal or 2, but a decent striker in the positions he's been in this evening would be taking the match ball home.
  • FFS thats a penalty surely
  • How on earth is that not a penalty?! Ref is looking right at it.

Guess he's ignored it given Inniss has his arms round him
  • Need to win tonight - season already running out of steam.

  • Lewis Wheeler scoops £11,500 after striking the woodwork in the @ValleyGold Crossbar Challenge! Congrats, Lewis!
  • Also a decent defense would help. Complete chaos for their goal.

That's not how football works though! Still a foul.

    Oh wait........

    Leaburn has played well.
    Really  ?? I don't think he's done anything.

Stockley nor Leaburn fit into this team. Period.
  • Played alright apart from our finishing.

Dont see anything in McGrandles if I’m honest. Looks lightweight and a yard short of pace.

Dobson been good, Chin looks decent and Payne is exciting.

    Should be beating these.
  • Positive pressing and playing some neat quick football.

Let's just work it into the box and shoot rather then take pot shots from 20 yards.

Defensively Clare is very narrow on those switches he is holding Inniss hand rather have Dobson cover and him be more aware of those diagonals.

No idea what keeper is thinking there, yes probably wanted to take the pressure off but we had that easily covered, he is a worry when he comes out. Poor decision.

The only reason CBT has had those ‘chances’ is because he has rare explosive pace and skill to beat the defender.

Bet you most strikers at our level wouldn’t have been able to even get the ball into the position to shoot in the first place.

Oh and also most strikers wouldn’t be hugging the touchline. That’s what a winger does, and you think those can’t score.

If only we had a ref who knew how football worked, was an obvious foul and dangerous play

It was a foul by Inniss as well.  Which one happened first?

Random thoughts. Payne having a great game. Dobson decent as usual. McGrandalls not so much. Leaburn too raw to play on his own. Can't they work on CBT when he cuts in? FGR are total shit so a bit sad we are not winning. Crosses are Wollacott's weakness. How was that not a pen when Innis got a boot in the face.
  • Leaburn has done well, he's battled and won possession a few times. Bit of a donkey with the ball at his feet at times, but mostly done well

    The egg?
  • Gilbey scores an absolute screamer for Stevenage
  • Put them away lads. COYRs

    How? Clearly a keeper error.
  • If we are going to persist with one up front, we need to get the rest of the team practising their shooting a bit more.

    So give that foul.

Perhaps because the Midfield / Wingers aren't creating anything

Too much hogging on the ball before a wasted shot into the Jimmy Seed

I said against Bolton that the issue wasn't the Strikers, but the lack of chances created by those who have the responsibility to do just that - We could have Haaland in this team, name me ONE opportunity he'd have scored from in these last two games?

You are right and there are people on here demanding this change, I'd like to think that first half performance by a lad still learning the game would shut them up but I doubt it.
