"Upstairs / Downstairs" was the translation so I was told. Another story from back in the day. My mate witnessed two blokes being served the same meal, one was much smaller than the other. So the smaller meal complaint went in and the response was that the smaller plate being snatched off the table with the bloke being told "you f@ck off, you don't eat here again" 🤣🤣🤣
God we used to always go in Wong Kei after going drinking/clubbing in the area before we got the N89 back home from Trafalgar Square. It was always packed.
There was a restaurant like this in London years ago. Can’t for the life of me remember it’s name though
A couple of people have mentioned Dick's Last Resort. They opened in London, probably late 1990s, but for some reason didn't work quite as well as they do in the USA and it didn't last too long. It was in Covent Garden.
