    A second wicket to Evison

    185-6 and a lead of 80

It appears that we are a bowler short at the moment because Stewart is off the pitch having not bowled for a couple of hours

243-7 at tea and a lead of 138. It is difficult to say how many we should be comfortable chasing but it would be handy for the nerves if we could take the final three wickets sooner rather than later.

Chasing anything over 200 could be dodgy. Maybe even over 150.

The pitch is obviously a road now, and we'll knock the runs off with no fuss. Probably...

That might well be the case but we also have to take into account our attack lacks a real consistent threat without, from recent seasons, the likes of Milnes, Gilchrist, Stevens, Henry, Saini and now Stewart all unavailable so the truth of the matter won't be seen 'til we bat again. Equally, had Crawley made a duck in the first innings and we would have been 131 all out and the performance from the rest of the batsmen really wasn't good enough.

Really need to knock them over quickly. Getting way too big for my liking

Good to see Joey Evison pick up a 4 wicket haul in the innings and 5 in total in the match.

Grant Stewart can bat if required. He picked up a minor strain which prevented him from bowling.

Crawley bowled for 3 trying to play a check drive to a ball that came back at him. Not the greatest of starts for us.

    3-1

Seems to be a rare thing for a player to make a good score in the first innings as well as the second?

DBD out for a quickfire 32 off 31

    44-2 with another 183 required

That does, indeed, appear to be a trend which is why Foakes with his 76 in the first innings and 103 not out off 95 balls in the second for Surrey should cement his place in the England side.

The market is very wide on Betfair (and Oddschecker aren't quoting prices on the game) but, roughly speaking, the chances of the respective options are

    Kent  64%
    Northants 32%
    Draw 4%

Denly bowled by one that looked like it kept low. It was a scratchy innings for 5 off 32 balls to go with his two ducks so far this season.

    60-3 and 167 runs required

Yes. Better to use this for the scorecard

    And this for the stream

Watching the YouTube stream. Winning the toss clearly was crucial as Day 1 was clearly the toughest day to bat
