  • Just what we need, a bit of pace
  • I said that we could go after the Aussie Spencer Johnson. Instead we've signed another - Seb's mate Wes Agar 'til the 21st May. Hopefully Seb will get a chance to catch up with him. Jas Singh knows him well too - they played together in Adelaide. Agar is an absolutely massive unit.

Looking forward to seeing what he can do for us.

The clip below is from almost 5 years ago with the first part him batting and the second him bowling. He is stronger and faster now!

  • No play today.

We are playing once again. We have the bizarre situation where we have umpteen players out purely to stop Warwickshire from reaching 450 inside 110 overs - so far there have been 25 runs off the first three overs, aided and abetted by some very average bowling from McKerr and Hogan.

    392-3
  • 453-4 declared off 107 overs. Leaning took the final wicket.
  • Crawley out for a duck

    6-1
  • Cheating Brummies changed the pitch during the interval when nobody was looking

  • Compton goes the same way as Crawley - LBW Rushworth - for 14

    35-2

Oh, I wondered why Rushworth wasn't playing for Durham at Sussex last week.
  • Poor shot from Denly - throws his hands at a wide one and is caught behind

    63-3

    DBD 32* (46)

There have been better days to be a Charlton and Kent fan!

Kent 82-5 & Charlton losing 3-0. There's no respite is there!

    Edit 4-0
  • Ipswich 4-0. A slow start from them, pushing 4 singles
  • Ipswich 4-0. A slow start from them, pushing 4 singles
    5-0. Still no boundaries.
  • Kent 110-6
    Charlton 0-6
  • 115-8 is a pathetic batting performance
  • 158 all out

  • not sure which one out of charlton or Kent wins the gutless performance award
  • Swap teams, cannot be any worse 😠
  • Zak out twice in the same day

I hadn't been watching and genuinely thought I was watching his first dismissal. In both cases he missed a straight one from Rushworth.
  • 27-1 at close. We trail by 268 runs which basically means that we have to bat for virtually the whole day tomorrow.

Fanny oh Fanny.......do your thing please!

    I'm here !

After deserting the Kent stream for balmy Ipswich I'm determined to see SOME success from one of our 2 teams this weekend.....

....but it looks like an uphill task so the dancing wellies will be donned first thing tomorrow, more in hope than expectation.

Or I could just pull that inviting duvet over my head & bin the whole weekend.
  • How can they get 453-4 and we get skittled for 158?

27-1 in the second knock too. All over by lunch probably.

As bad if not worse than 6-0 at Ipswich.
  • Looking at the BBC page

Delayed - Play due to start at 11:15am local time

Change that to 4pm and we might have a chance!
  • I'm dancing....

    Three reasons for this:

    (1) Our bowling attack isn't comparable to theirs
    (2) Conditions on the first day were probably marginally more seamer friendly than on the third day
    (3) A number of our batsmen played irresponsible shots or ones that demonstrated a lack in technique
