  • Brilliant England
     Love this team.

    Bring on the French!
  • Need to defend better against the French.
  • Lots of disappointed people around the UK with that result!
  • That'll do....bring on the French!
  • Job well done. Nervy opening half hour but were excellent after the opening goal. Subs disrupted the rhythm but it was job done by then.

A potentially very tasty quarter final to come.

Our game against France really wouldn't look out of place as the final.
IF IF we win, no doubt we'll be wondering what might have been had we beaten Croatia four years ago - Our squad has progressed so much though in that time. May well have been four years too soon for us
  • Southgate 3 Snoop Dogg, did somebody say Just Eat?

Both confirmed Quarter-Finals looks very decent, they've done well with the draw in that respect.

Netherlands vs Argentina is basically a repeat of the 1998 classic, with THAT Bergkamp finish.
England vs France needs no build up, it talks for itself

Good result that. Though we do play like two different teams at times. I prefer the confident attacking England best.

First England game I haven't spotted Chris Powell. Has he gone home to look after Stirling?

I have been say for ages our best chance will be in Germany, when you look at the team we actually had, 2018 was a miracle and 2020(1) was a few years early.  This is a bit of a lottery so a free hit.
  • All 4 of the first set of R16 matches have been relatively comfortable for the fancied teams. The QFs for the 4 sides look tasty now.

Naaaa we dont give a shit about the Euros... Its the League Cup compared to the Champions League ;)

Yeah based on the Group placements, the RO16 games have been a bit uneven

Japan vs Croatia | Portugal vs Switzerland to come though could be fascinating watches
  • Job done, and in the end, comfortably done. Senegal are no mugs but England have some real quality.
    Bring on France.

He was there - they showed him in the tunnel before the game.
  • lol! Foden refusing to compliment Bellingham because "Jude is still young"

There are three years between them both!!
  • Potential for Spain v Portugal in the Quarters too.

That'll be a big game. Shame it's hosted in Qatar.

  • Henderson inspirational
    Bellingham immense
    Foden beautifully gifted
Saka got better as the game went on
    Rice very very tidy
    Kane released his shackles
Iffy distribution early on from the center halves. Need to cut that out versus the French.

Job well done. Once we scored we bossed it.

Gonna say it again. Bellingham speaks intelligently and articulately. Mature beyond his years…. Next captain after Kane
Henderson, for what it's worth, is my shout for Southgate's successor
Wow, thats a big call - Despite the Nations League results, I think Southgate has ensured he wont get sacked now, and has a Contract until Euro 2024 at the very least, whether Jordan is ready by then or 2026... I'd be surprised
  • Finally starting to feel that teams should really worry about some of our players rather than us worrying about them. France won't fancy playing the likes of Kane, Bellingham, Foden and Rice.

    Roy Keane

    "Jordan's a fantastic player"

Imagine as a CM hearing that from him? That would feel great. Henderson must be pleased.

Was waiting for Keane to say something picky about something, but everything was complimentary.

Keane speaking about Bellingham was interesting too, talking about how long it's been since he's seen that sort of play and maturity in a 19yr old, and how he reckons he'll be one of the best midfielders in the world.
  • So Sterling is going home, Southgate isnt sure if he'll be back

Feels like Gabriel Clarke is sticking to being a prick by asking too many questions about that

What was funny FA,  the 22 year old Foden saying "I don't want to big him up(Jude) but he is going to be the best Midfielder in the world.

    Love the confidence.
