Films you should've seen but haven't

Finally watched Fight Club last night. Not what I was expecting but highly original. Will watch again to see what I missed along the way.

No Country for Old Men still on that list...and Moonlight

  • Pulp Fiction is the one i've never seen. My missus has poster of the film on the wall in her flat. I haven't got the heart to tell her  :D
  • The Star Wars films.

I've seen the original. And episode one. And The Last Jedi. That's it.

I enjoyed them but they seemed like the same film, re-done.
  • There's loads of films I've seen bits of when they've been on TV but never all the way through. A few off the top of my head are:

    Sound of Music
    Blade Runner
    Gone With the Wind
    The Graduate
    Top Gun
    Ghostbusters (any of them)
    Fight Club
    Taxi Driver
    Any of the Batman films
    Rain Man

  • Given the time of year, It's A Wonderful Life seems to be one of those Christmas staples but I've never watched a moment of it.
  • Schindler’s List
    Titanic

I managed to catch the first half of it once, and so all I've seen is his life going miserably wrong without the turnaround!
  • Saving Private Ryan
    Top Gun
    National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
  • Raging Bull and Lawrence of Arabia are two I absolutely should have seen by now.

  • Schindler’s List
    Titanic
Don’t bother yourself with Titanic…..crap IMHO.

     Have you seen Gremlins?
  • No country for old men is one of my all time favourites and Javier Bardem's character and performance is top drawer.

    Enjoy.

    great film !
  • I'm assuming we've all seen two girls one cup?
I've seen the first 5 minutes a few times but never the whole film.
  • Shawshank Redemption
    Top Gun
  • There's not many classics i haven't seen but of the top of my head .

Gone With The Wind (can't face four hours )
    The Sound Of Music
    All the Harry Potter Movies
    The Lion King
    Inside Out
    Ben-Hur
    Ratatoulle
    Network
All of the Pirates of the Caribbean films

You're in for a treat when you finally get around to watching it.
  • Avatar
    Titanic
Gone with the Wind (only seen parts)
    Debbie Does Dallas
  • Schindler’s List
    Titanic

Great twist though. Just like the pilot, I didn't see it coming!

While it is still prescient, I was disappointed by Network but I think, like a lot of classics, it's more about how wild it was at the time of release.

Of that lot I would suggest you get Ratatouille and/ or Inside Out on your tellybox straight away! With Inside Out I was kinda unimpressed at first but on second viewing realised it was absolute genius. A perfect film.
  • Inside Out is such a brilliant film.
  • Citizen Kane
    Chariots of Fire
    Taxi Driver
  • Shawshank redemption
    Taxi driver.
    Robin Hood, Prince of thieves

I really should get round to watching some of these over Christmas
  • Fargo - started it a few times and lost interest.
  • Mulholland drive. Missed it on Wednesday night. Film4 running David Lynch films including Blue Velvet which was in last night, so expect they'll repeat within a few days or couple of weeks.
  • Raging Bull
  • Forrest Gump. Tom Hanks is one of my favourite actors but I've never been able to convince myself to watch it. Maybe one day.
