I'll have whatever you're on!!...no more than a 5 year deal..šKentishAddick said:I'm looking forward to the takeover going through this evening and us then announcing Mbappe has signed on a 10 year deal.1 -
I thought Wrexham were being linked with Lavelle last week but not sure if it was just rumours.ForeverAddickted said:
Surprised we've not seen Lavelle or Thomas being linked away from the club...CH4RLTON said:Bit of a worry that we havent been linked with or seem to be interested in any central defenders, Lavelle and Thomas look inept, Innis has the odd good game in about 5 and could get injured at any time but Ness looks good but still very young
Neither have been involved now since the Man Utd game as O'Connell has taken their place on the bench.1 -
This is what I said yesterday. I believe so, but it is an assumption based on the 5 loans rule, however Kane's injury would enable a 6th loanee.ĀPWADDICK said:
Am I right in thinking we only have one loan slot left so the other would be a perm?MarcusH26 said:
Couple of incomings worked on inc KilkennyĀ

If you read other managers and journalists comments based at other clubs they all say the same thing though.Red_Chester said:
Sounds like thatās a line fed every deadline day so the club can say we tried but they fell apart on the last hourĀMarcusH26 said:

Thatās not to excuse our recent underwhelming transfer windows, or if nothing happens today, but I believe fans do underestimate the complexities involved in transfers - especially on deadline day.Ā1 -
we have done a lot more business this window than I thought we would .. goodĀ1

I saw Paul Warhurst in Blackheath this morning. Coincidence?1

Quite a lot of negativity towards the possible O'Brien transfer, which is understandable given his record this season, but it's probably worth remembering he would be brought in to compete with Leaburn, Bonne and Chuks if he ever reappears. It's a rare window where we're not massively looking for a striker to save us, more cover in case of injuries. If Leaburn and Bonne stay fit and do well then O'Brien might not even get a look in so an available player with L1 experience as 3rd/4th choice isn't insane business.Mostly though so far this window looks like the gaps are actually being addressed for once, regardless of how well. We needed a left back, a RB as cover for Egbo, an extra striker (now we need another with Stockley gone, which may be O'Brien), and we need a central midfielder to improve what we currently have as well as replacing McGrandles in terms of bodies. If we end the window with Kilkenny & O'Brien or two different players in those positions I'll at least feel comfortable that we're actually looking at where the real gaps are rather than our summer where we signed players who were available but didn't go for balance.7

Another who fans wanted us to sign in his Sunderland days .. decent player homesick wants to return to London ā¦ĀPelling1993 said:Jesus Christ OāBrien is absolutely woefulĀ1 -

...The next 12 hours would have been crucial, if it wasn't a waste of time...š0

Fuck it. Shall we just lower the bar and try and be happy with free transfers who play for minimum wage? I know it's not ideal, but it may save some heartbreak at midnight.
The old, the halt and the sick. Let them come unto us.0 -
Michael Hector..10

What does 'Michael Hector' mean in a full sentence?19

Hector in and Lavelle/Thomas out? That would be interestingĀ5

3 in 2 out.
CB, CM, CF in
Kirk and either Thomas or Lavelle out.
Everyone will be whelmed, at best.8 -
Superb? He's been available on a free for months and not been able to get a club. How would signing him be superb. I'd call it desperation.Richard J said:

That would be superb if true. Presumably Lavelle and Thomas would be moving on.12 -

Hector sounds an excellent signing on paper, but he's only played about 12-games in the last two years.
Hopefully its another deal until the end of the season7 -
This my issue.. it would have been between him and Thomas in the summer, but we could only afford Thomas then. Now we cleaned the decks slightly we canĀForeverAddickted said:Hector sounds an excellent signing on paper, but he's only played about 12-games in the last two years.

Michael Hector is too good for League 1 for sure. Looking forward to us putting a stop to that!

Josh Onomah has had his contract ended by Fulham. A great pick up for a championship club

If we get Hector, it's the same old. On a free, low games per season of late, 'too good for L1', can sign him after deadline as a free.2023 Harry Arter, step forward!I've noticed a lot of posters rate and review a player in accordance to their peak, rather than recent performances.16

Take your pick: Injury on debut, he's not up to it anymore, he can't be arsed, etc.LargeAddick said:
