When he was at Millwall i thought he was good but not sure he's done anything since. The Red Robin said:

An impressive compilation, scores with his head, favours his right foot but plenty using his left.Scoham said:
He’s more Washington than Stockley, has played out wide as well as through the middle.Valley11 said:Aidan O’Brien looks like a rubbish Jayden Stockley. Slightly shorter with a worse goal return. Is this the ‘different profile’ striker Holden was on about?Or just cheaper? All the signings on loans or short term deals feel like a race to the bottom.

From these clips, it appears that he can score if fed the balls, no evidence that he carves chances out for himself.
If he comes and he can show some of this form, he would be a welcome addition. Big if though.0 -
Two footed! makes a change,0

On my wish list for today is a robust midfielder with some presence/athleticism who can pick a pass. And a goalscorer to get on the end of those passes. O’Brien would do.

That’s because he’s had stacks of injuries since. Was out for months at the start of this season.Charlton_Stu said:

I've always not rated him, although haven't seen much of him tbf. Looks like Mbappe on that Vid

O Brien makes sense from a personal point of view.
As fans we underestimate the impact living away from the family home has on players which is probably why the likes of Shane Ferguson and John Marquis are also regularly linked with us.1 -
In fairness I remember Portsmouth fans were very underwhelmed when they signed him on loan recently (season before last I think) but he went there & smashed it & they loved him by the end of the season.
I do think he’ll be a good addition for us if he’s over his injury issues.0 -
Let's see what special moves we make in Home Bargains today!1

On my wish list is finishing my pee without dripping any on my trouser leg. Any thing else is a bonus.JamesSeed said:On my wish list for today is a robust midfielder with some presence/athleticism who can pick a pass. And a goalscorer to get on the end of those passes. O’Brien would do.

Couple of incomings worked on inc Kilkenny0 -
Sounds like that’s a line fed every deadline day so the club can say we tried but they fell apart on the last hourMarcusH26 said:

Am I right in thinking we only have one loan slot left so the other would be a perm?MarcusH26 said:

My current level of excitement is 1/10. O'Brien hasn't been decent for a few years, but he's cheap and that's all that matters to us ATM.2

Kilkenny, O’Brien, the Huddersfield CM. Doesn’t seem unbelievable to me but we know we have a limited budget given there’s also a takeover in progress.Red_Chester said:

SLP are suggesting that Kirk's exit to Burton will be a loan deal

If you want an idea of how high or low the bar is going to be today I give you Nile John and Castillo.7

Bit of a worry that we havent been linked with or seem to be interested in any central defenders, Lavelle and Thomas look inept, Innis has the odd good game in about 5 and could get injured at any time but Ness looks good but still very young2
-
I'm looking forward to the takeover going through this evening and us then announcing Mbappe has signed on a 10 year deal.3

Kane, Sessegnon and Penney are all unlikely to ever all be in the squad even if they were all fit so 6 isn't a problemMarcusH26 said:0 -
Here we go for transfer deadline day, or as it is known at our club....

Surprised we've not seen Lavelle or Thomas being linked away from the club...CH4RLTON said:Bit of a worry that we havent been linked with or seem to be interested in any central defenders, Lavelle and Thomas look inept, Innis has the odd good game in about 5 and could get injured at any time but Ness looks good but still very young
Neither have been involved now since the Man Utd game as O'Connell has taken their place on the bench.0
