The point I'm making is that many have written Murphy off but Moeen is our front line spinner and has only taken 6-387 in the Series and isn't even doing a holding job either. That isn't a small sample and the idea of him batting at 3 is to balance the side. He has batted very well but he hasn't fulfilled his other role.Cafc43v3r said:

I'm not going to go back and look for the comments but the point was consistently made that it showed no confidence from the Aussies in leaving him out of the last Test. That it would make him even more nervous when he returned.Cafc43v3r said:

Apologies - correct. Stokes was his first wicket. Moeen was batting well though and taking the pressure off Brook. Getting him out then brought Stokes in.Callumcafc said:
