Is this the fella that played less than half a game on his debut then went off injured?
(Or have I got him confused with one of our other magical signings?)
Not saying he’s a world beater but definitely looked like a Championship level player, Hector-esque. 100% an upgrade on Clare in the position.3 -
Did he play at Welling last night? What was the verdict from those there?0
-
He did play at right back at Welling last night. Lasted 60 minutes and was running well.
Tried to get forward but Jeremy Santos seemed to be determined not to pass to him.6 -
More defensive reinforcements so less chance of seeing Penney again so that can only be a good thing.5

Of course was just one half of Football - But certainly showed some potential in the match5 -

I agree he looked promising, but from reading some of the comments above I thought I'd missed the debut of the new Roberto Carlos!13 -

Was he a permanent signee or just a loanee? If a loanee, he might as well go back to Coventry.0

He was fine in his 35 minutes, no better than that. Give the lad a chance in the next few if we think there's a place for him, but let's not build him up (or knock him down), or even judge him on 35 minutes.4

On the topic of full backs coming back from injury, what has happened to Egbo?
He played a few weeks ago and has disappeared since. Has he had a set back?2 -

Just signed for a team in Gibraltar
Strange. Although I didn't want us to sign him I didn't think he was that bad.

He was that bad. Pony player. Penney made him look a bit better because he was such an unbelievably low bar.10

Start of last season he was absolutely fine at this level. Post injury he didn't feel the same, but it sounded like he and Holden didn't get on.2

I thought he looked very promising until he got injured.

Add to the long list of dross we have signed over the years3
-
At least he always gave 110% for the shirt0
-
that's a joke right?0

He made one start after signing, at left back, against Barnsley but had to be subbed just before half time due to an injury.
Compre his numbers to our other full back that day (Sean Clare) who played the full 90.
(Stat: Kane, Clare)
Clearances: 4, 2
Interceptions: 1, 1
Accurate Pass %: 83, 68
Accurate Long Passes: 3, 0
Chances Created: 1, 0
Possession Lost: 6, 18
Fouls Conceded: 2, 2
Reminder… Kane played 45 minutes, Clare played 90.
And Clare was a player some wanted us to keep. We were shocking for large parts of last season and I think it’s easy to automatically lump him in because he didn’t feature much… I’m not exactly impressed with comparisons to Matt Penney who definitely was bad.10 -
Bizarre that anyone could dig him out as a bad player for us when he barely played at all. It's unfortunate that injuries stopped him from contributing but it feels like talk about a bad attitude follows him round. We heard it about him when he signed and then it sounds like Holden didn't get on with him either. Probably explains why he's ended up in Gibraltar
