  • 3-1 two Charlton goals in the first half. Fraser, Bonne and Leaburn to score.
  • For sky an entertaining game. 2-2 take an early lead with Leaburn play some lovely stuff then concede 44th min. Deano gives them a rollicking come out fighting but can’t take chances Bolton score 81st min before bonne nets a 88th min equaliser. 2-2 motm amb who pulls off two worldies
  • Icy out there tonight. Would be worried about this fixture if travelling from far.
  • 3-0 and the start of the big push.
  • Milan said:
Cameron Jerome scored 6 in 61 at Luton, that's Stockley form right there.
13 in 34 last time he was playing in League One though...
Almost a goal for every three games he plays. Something for the next two teams Bolton play to worry about.
  • Nice kick-off time for us slackers out east so will be tuning in.

    1-1 draw or narrow defeat.

We are better under Holden but still not very good.

Hope Clare gets a chance in midfield alongside Dobson and Fraser.  Think that could be a good combination.
  • Just watched DH pre Bolton game interview. I have to say I'm mightily impressed with him. He seems to 'get the club' in its entirety.
I'm also still confident he will get 2 more players in, and shift 2 or 3 out.
He's confidence has rubbed off on me.....2-1 Addicks!
  • I’m never a fan for lunchtime KOs but feel like Barnsley this is another really important result today. Some of the positive momentum being built seems to have faded a little without even playing. Hoping the two weeks to take stock and spend some time on the training ground proves to our advantage

Really feel like the Barnsley game was a turning point to our season, we showed real resilience and determination in our play, and today will be no different, I think Bolton will be a slightly sterner test than Barnsley was, but still expect a strong and united approach from whoever Dean puts out, the whole mood seems to have switched since he came in, not a high scoring game, but we will nick it by one goal, stay positive everyone...👍

  • Very difficult game .. can we win a second of the dreaded “B” teams after a great 2-0 win over Barnsley .
Can see us losing this one .. but hoping that we can turn it on for the TV and at least take a point which will be a very good result and keep our little run going .
Don’t see massive changes SS will be right back today .. Penney at left back Morgan in for Payne in the middle three  ..
  • Hate early kickoffs, they completely throw off the usual routine!

It’s frustrating not having been able to play last week but it may have done us a favour. We’d had a busy period leading up to last week, changed the manager and adjusted our game plan, played two PL teams, brought in players and had the stress of Christmas and New Year, not to forget that over the past month or so just about everyone seems to have had to cope with a cough, cold or worse.
  • The extra week off pays dividends 2-0 CAFC.

Charlton's record after having matches postponed and having a week or two at Sparrows lane isn't good since Adkins.
Plus a 12.30 KO and we are playing Bolton who have the memory of the 4-1 win from last season.

Hope we find our A game as anything less will be a struggle. Lots of variables today with Sky, Bolton's form, the sleepy feel of the early KO and Evattball to contend with.
A fit Sharp Corey Blackett-Taylor would be great for an hour against a team that attack with numbers. Counter attacks will need to be quick and sharp. Plus George Dobson may have refreshed his batteries.

These last two weeks have given Dean Holden time to get his thoughts and empathic way of coaching and improving players through team work and individual needs across to the group.

I will go for a 2-2 as both teams bring their B+ game to the Valley.

For anyone interested before you leave for game…ITV4 The Big Match Revisited are showing Chelsea v Charlton 2nd Div clash 1979,just starting 10:30am

on today game, I’m going for a plucky 2-1 to the Addicks
  • I really hope not just the team turn up but our fans do to & become the 12th man again
    Come On You Reds  B)
  • I think we are in a good place and Bolton are one of the best teams in the league so it will say a lot if we beat them and I think we will by at least a couple.
  • I think a draw would be a good result today. If we can get the win full steam ahead the playoffs are on
  • Lots of people seem to be going about free flowing attacking Bolton and the threat they pose going forwards but they’ve scored 5 less goals than us in 2 more matches!

The reason they are in the top 6 is they have one of the best defensive records in the league and are second in the table for clean sheets (where as we sit 19th).

Just imagine where we would have been if we could have kept clean sheets and turned some of those 1-1’s, especially early in Garner’s reign, into 1-0’s.

  • If everybody is fit I would probably start with Clare and Sess and bring Penney on in the second half.
  • If everybody is fit I’d play Penny the natural left back at left back, and Sessegnon our best full full back in his natural position at right back.
  • If Sess is fully fit then he’ll start with Penney I think. I’m going for an optimistic 2-1 victory for us. (Fraser and Bonne, Odeboyega for them)

Bolton won their last away game and haven’t won back to back away games in over two decades…
  • Charlton: Maynard-Brewer; Clare, Inniss, Ness, Penney; Dobson (c), Morgan, Fraser; Rak-Sakyi, Bonne, Blackett-Taylor

Subs: Harness, O’Connell, Sessegnon, Henry, Payne, Campbell, Leaburn

  • No Stockley

    No Stockley
Calf injury in training yesterday………apparently or is he on his way  🤔.
  • I doubt they're happy about Jayden being unwilling to move.
  • Looks a very strong bench, would love 2 in 2 out before the end of the window.
