I'm sad about this. He seems like a really decent guy and he was really good for us in a couple of spells. His first loan spell he was great, and under Jackson he reminded us that in the right setup he's always someone you can rely on for goals. Unfortunately he's just not an adaptable player. If the system doesn't work towards funneling chances that suit him then he's a total passenger. We even saw that under Adkins where the same system but different players saw him go from a player helping us push for promotion to a relegation striker who couldn't get a goal. His injury seems to have slowed him down as well and he's not adapted to that. I hope he does well at Fleetwood, he's a player I really wanted to succeed with us. It wasn't that long ago he was talking about ending his career here
Said before Saturday's game it was a "Parker before the Gillingham Cup tie" sort of injury and I suspect I was right!
He was good for us at the start and I am convinced his back injury has affected him a lot more than he let on. But probably best for all concerned that he has a fresh start somewhere else.
And always came over in interviews as a really nice and decent bloke.
Wish him nothing but the best in his future career.
2.5 year deal for anyone who cant be bothered to click the link
I can see what the South London link said, so cheers, but it just said Stockley to Fleetwood and I couldn't see a reply from Cawley to the question, is it a permanent or a loan.

I'm going to take a different approach to this one.
I don't think this club should ever be signing a big, un-technical target man to be its main striker. We aren't Fleetwood, Wycombe or Accrington. We don't play a lot of awkward diagonals into the box and play off the second ball. We do always try to play, even when we're a bit shit.
He forced us to play a certain way or be shit at the way we were trying to play. He was such a limited striker that he required a certain system or a certain partner to be effective in any way. And then at one point he just gave up and got dropped for a youth team player. He was an error. And I hope it's not one we repeat again.
Seems like a nice bloke so I wish him well personally, but as a player, I'm glad he's gone.
I’m not convinced he’s the same player due to his injury. I don’t think playing two up front and getting crosses was all he was missing, a slight loss of mobility can make a big difference. He was looking more like Hemed for us in that his reactions seemed to be slower, he wasn’t taking chances like he used to.
Did a job under Adkins and a good goal return last season, but not at the level of Yann or Taylor. He’s an example of the confused recruitment under Sandgaard’s ownership - if you want to play a modern high pressing passing game you don’t sign a traditional target man, one who isn’t even known for having a good first touch.
I said a while ago we might move him on in the window. Wasn’t going to be easy but I guess he wants to be the main man up front, he had become a squad player like he was with Preston.

So much for not going North because he was happy here.
Shame his back injury seemed to turn him into a ghost of a player that he was for the majority of last season.
Hope though he manages to get over it, and rediscovers his old form (post Feb 11th) for Fleetwood

Where does it says it's permanent?
why can’t the club just be honest and say on Saturday not in the squad as a transfer opportunity is being discussed. I see no downside in that.

Also a nice bloke by all accounts.
I wish him well.

That would be a Chelsea loan !
The link that Cawley said, you clever Dick.

No doubt he’ll score against us in a few weeks.
