The Addicks will return to Park View Road for the club’s first pre-season game of the summer against Welling United on Saturday, July 1st (3pm KO BST). For an away traveller pre-season can be very interesting. New grounds and new places to visit. Whilst a Premier league side we had some crackers, particularly abroad.
30th July was the date of the first game of this season, moved forward one week to help accommodate the Qatari World Cup. Accrington (A) match report dated 30/7/22: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/62274965
The Premier League is kicking off the 2023/24 season on the weekend of Sat 12th August, so I would anticipate the EFL would be a week earlier on Sat 5th August.

Well done the club for revealing a trip abroad, in recent times it has been difficult to get information. I'll be interested in what they charge if they advertise a trip.
I don’t see the above as the club organising a trip to Malaga for fans. They will simply advertise the time/location of their training session / game & then it’s down to fans to sort out plans to get there.

They can fit us in, between their games in Asia, and games in America

I asked why premier league start date was announced in November last year and we still have no official date for the EFL.

…which is fair enough.
What’s it like, a bit of a lads holiday, or a sophisticated, cultured, elegant kinda place?
