For an away traveller pre-season can be very interesting. New grounds and new places to visit.
Whilst a Premier league side we had some crackers, particularly abroad.

Surely Holden, as a Man U season ticket holder can arrange for them to play us at the Valley?

They can fit us in, between their games in Asia, and games in America  ;)

Holden talked a few days ago about a trip away that fans could go to. Maybe something like a couple of games at La Manga (or similar) again.

The sooner they can get dates out, the better, pleased they’ve got the Welling date out earlier this year.

Can’t see it published anywhere yet, but probably 5th August, which is a week before the Premier League’s confirmed start.

30th July was the date of the first game of this season, moved forward one week to help accommodate the Qatari World Cup. Accrington (A) match report dated 30/7/22: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/62274965

The Premier League is kicking off the 2023/24 season on the weekend of Sat 12th August, so I would anticipate the EFL would be a week earlier on Sat 5th August.

I have contacted the EFL to ask about the start date to the 2023/24 season,

I asked why premier league start date was announced in November last year and we still have no official date for the EFL.

Well done the club for revealing a trip abroad, in recent times it has been difficult to get information.
I'll be interested in what they charge if they advertise a trip.

  • I don’t see the above as the club organising a trip to Malaga for fans. They will simply advertise the time/location of their training session / game & then it’s down to fans to sort out plans to get there.

    …which is fair enough.

I know the players are going to Malaga, but are we actually playing Malaga, if so anyone on here been to Malaga?

What’s it like, a bit of a lads holiday, or a sophisticated, cultured, elegant kinda place?

Malaga is a cracking city. Not staggy, think there’s a bit of a student population though
