  • Surely they need to put out more in depth details so we are able to book a trip. I’ve emailed the club so I will copy their response once I have it
  • Fuengirola is lovely, so is Torremilos.

    More family aimed resorts.
Torremilos perhaps a little more lively.
  • Can only do 2-3 nights as things stand, so will await the pre-season game date and time, alongside when the open training session will be. Anything else of beauty, culture or cuisine will be a bonus.
  • Charlton v Chatham Town Tuesday 4th July 7:45 Kick-off.http://www.chathamtownfc.com/

I assume that will be more of an U21 side
  • Planning on doing Welling, Chatham and Dartford. Also keen to do Malaga. Would prefer if it was 2 games out there though.

Wish they’d hurry up & release some details on this. I’m at the Blur/Weller gig on the Sunday, but would like to fly out on the Monday. Just the venue for now would help, so we can work out the area to stay & can book accommodation.

  • The issue here maybe related to who is going to pay for this trip?!

Cant see TS covering staff/players flights and accommodation for this when he plans to exit soon & new owners are also unlikely to fund it until a deal is done.

    .
  • Hope they release who the "big name" is soon, reckon we'll play someone like Brentford or Wolves at home
  • We were due to play Leyton Orient in Marbella but have seen they're going to the Algarve now, so not sure if i was being told the truth 🤔

Better golf courses in the Algarve

I am surprised they have not announced more of the pre-season games. We have got an away game on Tuesday 25th July. Mostly all others have been booked. Still think they are sorting the home friendly out as we aren’t playing the first club we agreed to play.

    That's what it's all about.

  • Showing the slight randomness of these games, Man U's only pre season game in the UK will be against Olympique Lyonnais.

At Murrayfield, the rugby stadium in Edinburgh!
I notice that after all the fuss about their pre-season game with Wrexham, it turns out they're sending a youth team.

The United first team squad are playing Real Madrid on the other side of the USA the next day.

The likes of United make LOTS of money from these pre-season games.

Will be Luton if they go up, just to really show us how times have changed
  • "Manager Dean Holden has encouraged supporters to join the Addicks in Spain and, as well as the game, fans will be able to attend a training session on Thursday, July 13th at Marbella Football Center in the Malaga region.

Supporters looking to attend the training session should register their interest by emailing website@cafc.co.uk."

We'll get to watch Albie Morgan and Darren Prately run rings around our midfield! :wink
The game in Spain could be a sellout, I’m sure Charlton fans will be out in unison to wish Macauley Bonne, a fond farewell, seeing as he never got one, from the valley faithful.
  • I’m planning to head over.

Roughly how many have we had do these trips historically?
