Discipline is badly letting us down. We was in it right up to the sending off. Once down to 10 men, it was always going to be an uphill struggle. Two points thrown away.27

ironically, this annihilation could be a huge blessing in disguise. Surely existing or incoming recruiters could see the shortcomings of some of our weak squad in crystal clarity today. A big overhaul please and I genuinely hope that is the last I see of Inniss in a red shirt. Just do not rate him and his disciplinary record (regardless of him being a bit unlucky at times) is shocking.12

Just watched the 'highlights' - some amazing defending...2

As I said in the match thread. We were up against a top team. One going for promotion. A defeat was expected.
But now our last 4 matches are against teams below us. In fact, all in the bottom 8. 1 in a relegation spot & 1 hovering just above it.
Should be no loses & hopefully 4 wins. Maybe a draw in there but they are all winnable.
But will we ??5 -
That hurt we was put in our place big time
I said it before but changed my mind but that's definitely the last away game I go this season
Just not going to waste good money to watch a team that can't turn up & give it a real go

Sometimes it just happens. A game comes along where it all goes wrong. There are examples of it happening this season in all divisions.
When you’re two down in fifteen minutes against the best team in the league then, yes, rightly or wrongly, heads will drop. It becomes a mammoth ask to get anything from the game.
The post-mortem will highlight individual performances and Hector in particular has come in for some criticism today. Let’s not gloss over the fact that many on here have been praising him since signing and suggesting he is capable of playing a higher level. One poor performance doesn’t change that. Same for AMB.
We have been outclassed today but there is some comfort in that it was by a team on top of their game with a squad that is superior in every department. Ladapo, for example had 17 goals before today and was on the bench.
As a fan base we know we’re in trouble. Off the pitch we are a mess and I genuinely fear for our status at the moment. The only joy we can hope for is on the pitch and when it goes like it did today the future looks even more bleak.A positive is Holden. He may have got it wrong today but hindsight is a wonderful thing and he could have parked the bus and we still may have been tonked. But he is certainly in credit and I have faith that he will deal with today’s setback.
On the playing front Leaburn, AMB, Ness, Mitchell, Dobson, Campbell and hopefully Kanu. We desperately need some quality, experienced players in who give a damn. I’m still hopeful that McGrandles could prove to be a decent player.
Fraser is hit and miss but when on form is a capable performer.League 1 is what it is. A collection of pretty average squads who are all capable of producing something at both ends of the performance spectrum.Today, we were outclassed, outthought and outplayed. It happens.14 -
Just seen the goals. Hopeless defending & a lot starting with the midfield getting caught in possession. The players are league 1 standard not fucking Man City.
Football was better years ago when players just hoofed it forward. I wonder when a manager will have the balls to ditch "total football" and just get the ball out of our half & into the opposition penalty box.
More muppetry.9 -

Being a mid table team we will sometimes beat the top teams, and sometimes lose to the bottom teams. It’s what mid table teams do.0 -

We are a club with no owner ambition beyond league one survival. Going to comfort myself by watching Newton’s goal in the playoffs. How far we have fallen.7
-
Only watched highlights, now obviously when you lose 6-0 the defence gets a load of stick, but they had more players in and around our areas for all the goals, this is down to midfielders not tracking back enough,Innis had on more than one occasion more than one player coming at him, same as Hector. On most pf the goals they had players over.Look at their fourth,we lost the ball in their half, and still got overrun.Sending off,a bit iffy, not clear what Innis did by the video, just looked as if the other guy was running and then went down but as I say unclear.0

Late decision yesterday to get tickets….ouch! Shocking across the whole team. Midfield were miles off in quality I mean it was embarrassing. Really eye opening to see the quality you need to be at the top, but then I guess we did have Cullen Bielik and Aribo when we got promoted. What was really frustrating was seemingly the lack of effort. if Palace were watching JRS I expect they’d be worried about his work rate off the ball he looked very disinterested for someone touted for the PL, no doubting his talent but it takes more than that. But he was by no means any worse than anyone else. Dobson got a lesson from their 5 today. Thomas and Campbell down the left were exposed by players so much better than them it was frightening. I thought we might need only 5 players or so, not so sure after that. I think we’re in for a few more seasons of this till someone buys us with a clue and a proper plan.

Gutless from beginning to end. Cheered goals 3, 4, 5 and 6, as there was no coming back from 2-0, let alone 3-0.
There's no point in trying to paper over the cracks when those cracks are as wide as the Grand Canyon. I don't want any new owner to think that we've got a half decent squad that needs a couple of additions.
This squad is shit.
Unfortunately, I don't have any faith that next season will be any different.4 -
And some of you want Morgan, bonne and innis to sign contracts. Fucking numpties20
-
And to think these new owners probably think they can spend as little as possible, make a few tweaks and everything will be rosy.
F******g deluded if so.
This club needs root and branch surgery. The core needs ripping out and starting again.
It's been rotting for years and years thanks to abominable leadership at the very top.7 - Sponsored links:

This is without doubt one of the worst charlton teams I’ve seen in a long time know fight know pride funk off the lot of them0

Dreadful result and performance. What was worse was when some of our fans applauded the team at the end. Totally gutless.6
-
Yet more evidence that we're nothing more than an average mid table league one team. Beating relegation fodder and getting a result in dead rubbers didn't mean much going forwards. Shock.
Outclassed today, they had better players and simply, played better.
Our defence was directly to blame for at least 3 of those goals due to ball watching so perhaps those contract extensions for Inniss and Thomas can wait a little longer. Hector, surprisingly, the worst culprit, even with everyone's favourite feel good story getting sent off. Saying that there was a non existent midfield in front of them today.
Our attacking intent was hit it up for Bonne to hold/ flick on/ lay off to JRS and Campbell, the latter twos names were probably mentioned 5 times between the pair so no surprises we didn't threaten.
Ahhh well if only the ref who was clearly an Ipswich fan* gave us the decisions we deserved who knows, maybe it could have been.....6-1

Embarrassing result, talk about a bad day in the office, must have run out of paper, broadband was down, and the filing cabinets wouldn’t open.1
-
Best thing to happen losing 6-0, now the new owners know what a bad squad we have6

This cuts deep, I cant quite put into words how low i feel right now.
Dont want to see Innis in a Charlton shirt again.
