Is it me or are Sky showing a lot less League 1 & 2 matches this season.
Understandable, it’s complete shit in reality and i wouldn’t watch a non Charlton game unless it affected our league position later on in the season and probably only the latter part or maybe a top 3 game later on in the season …. Play offs always worth a watch but a mundane Orient v Bristol Rovers I’d have less than zero interest in .
Don't Sky have alot more EFL to show from next season?
Each season, Sky Sports will broadcast a minimum of:
328 Sky Bet Championship matches
248 Sky Bet League One matches
248 Sky Bet League Two matches
All 15 Play-Off matches
All 93 Carabao Cup matches
All 127 EFL Trophy matches
Each League weekend fixture round will see 10 live EFL fixtures shown. Five matches will be shown from the Sky Bet Championship and supporters of Sky Bet League One and League Two teams will now benefit from greater coverage than ever before with five of their games being broadcast live. For the first time ever, fans will be also able to watch every match from the Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy.

Is it something like every midweek match will be available via red button? Presume that means no Charlton TV in the U.K. (without a VPN) for midweeks?
Domestic Streaming
From the 2024/25 season onward, this agreement makes more matches available to stream and will effectively replace the current Sky Sports EFL red button coverage and the EFL’s domestic streaming option provided via iFollow and club streaming services. Domestic streaming audio services will remain alongside existing audio-visual arrangements for international audiences via iFollow and club streaming services.
So will the 5 games from league 1 and 2 be moved from 3pm kick offs.?
Yep, the Saturday 3pm blackout will still stand. If we do have a good season (wishful thinking) we could honestly end up on TV almost every other game, given they are committing to showing 5 League One & Two games every weekend. I don't think they've actually announced KO time slots yet. But with 10 games on a weekend, I'm hoping they have games on tv simultaneously as finding 10 different time slots would see some crazy KO times.
I think mostly all the extra TV games will be shown at 12:30 on Saturday.
I think they said that would announce all TV matches at the very start of the season to mitigate fixtures changes for supporters.
How much notice will be provided for the selection of live TV games?
With the substantial increase in the number of live matches, Sky Sports and the EFL will introduce a new commitment for clubs and fans which will provide longer notice periods on TV selections.
The defined notice periods will enable clubs and fans to plan further in advance and this will include the placement of all live matches selected for broadcast for the period to FA Cup 3rd Round before the start of the season. Greater parity in the number of times that clubs are selected for TV coverage is also guaranteed.
To be fair, this season the race for Championship automatic promotion is genuinely exciting, so you can't blame Sky for continuing to show Leeds and Leicester.
